Summer Wind, Yes, Housework, No

I am happy to report that I have caught up on sleep
after my long weekend, last week.
Unfortunately, that means that I have not been doing the
normal sewing that I do in the mornings before work.
Thank goodness that we are here at Friday and
I can start making plans for my weekend sewing!

Here is what is on my list...
More rows on Summer Wind.

Then there is Clover. It's this month's AYOS pattern pick.
I didn't make it ahead of time... and I don't want to miss
out on making it, so I am going to try to squeeze it in now.

I also have a block to catch up on for my Bees Knees quilting Bee.

Then this has been tempting me...

For my birthday I got a bundle of Winter Reds by Minick and Simpson.
I have this pattern that I thought I would use for the group

Nantucket Quilt Pattern-Nantucket Quilt Pattern
but,  I have this pattern also.
Debonaire Quilt Pattern It's Sew Emma #ISE-111

Once I decide on the pattern... I might have a little bit of time to
cut out the fabrics for the pattern.
What do you think? Debonaire or Nantucket?

Oh wow, I love Midwinter Reds. I like Debonaire as it has a little more light in it.

You have a very busy weekend ahead. You better get started! And I vote for the first of the red patterns.

Love the nine patches in Nantucket!

Both are gorgeous, but I think the first one looks like it would be more fun to make.

I'd go for Debonaire. Good luck for your sewing weekend

Oooo I have loved Debonaire for a few years now but could not bring myself to commit because of the size. That deserves to be much larger. I am very partial to stars and i love the star in a star in that pattern.
You promise to be quite busy this month with that list of beauties.

Ohhhhh **Caution** (Drooling area, wipe my screen if I miss a spot)
First of all, It is the Midwinter Reds that have me drooling to begin with, then add in the Debonaire pattern, which I have loved since I first saw it and I think you have a match made in heaven. Of course, Debonaire would be really gorgeous in some fun brights too, it is just a versatile pattern by my way of thinking. But I feel the same way about Midwinter Reds...I can't think of a pattern that wouldn't work wonderfully with it. I'm very anxious to see what you decide on! Big Hugs...

You are so lucky!!! I love Midwinter Reds! I would choose Debonaire, it is more striking to me. Either one will be beautiful Can't wait to see which you choose.

Love the Midwinter Reds; my choice would be Nantucket, but I always love a good limerick.

Definitely Debonaire! BTW I really like your "conservative" fabric choices for Summer Wind. I think they let the pattern show up better. You have some fun projects planned!

Aren't the fabrics gorgeous! I picked up some charm packs and fat quarters during my birthday weekend. Great minds think alike! Both patterns are gorgeous, but the first one really has my attention!

I'd make Debonaire more stars and it'll be a great xmas quilt!

Oh...really nice patterns. Both would be great in that fabric. Guess you need to figure out which pattern is the most different from what you already have...or make both in different color ways;))))

The nine patches had me at "hello". But both are great pattern choices for that yummy fabric.

I love the midwinter reds collection too. I also love the Debonaire pattern, I would vote for that one!

Love that fabric! I just bought some myself and am debating what pattern to use as well. I don't think you could go wrong with either one so I would choose which ever one speaks to you more. Even when I'm struggling to make a choice, I usually find that there's one I like just a little bit more than the other. In any case, have fun!

Go with the Nantucket! I've been wanting to make that same quilt.

Debonaire. Both are nice but I like this one better. This star block is one of my top three favorites. I've been waiting for Midwinter Reds to be released - glad to see they're out!

Yes, dang it - why do we have to sleep? Although I'm pretty sure Thelma doesn't! What fabrics are you using for Clover? I want to make it but can't decide. I just acquired some Midwinter Reds too. I'mm going to make Nantucket. We have Minnick & Simpson's Nantucket quilt hanging in our shop this month and it is so beautiful!

They are both great patterns, do you really have to pick one! I think Debonaire is the best Sew Emma pattern ever, it's perfect for that bundle, but so is Nantucket!

I hope you're getting a some sewing in, I have family here all weekend, no sewing for me!

Looks like you have a fun weekend planned Sinta :-) I like the way the stars are arranged in Debonaire, but it looks a little more time consuming than the other.

Lynette said...

Ooooo I like Debonaire :) They're both nice, though. Clover looks perky!

You must get up at the crack of dawn each day to be able to sew before work!! Wow, that is dedication!!
I love both....

Gosh, I love both patterns, but if it were up to me, I'd probably make Debonaire first! Have fun!

Jeanna said...

Wow, what a list for the weekend. If ANYONE can do it, it will be you!

I love both patterns but I'm leaning towards Debonaire.

Hahaha...looks like a lot of us have both patterns! I know that I am no different. When I read your blog, I thought to myself, which one do I want to do? I can't make a decision either.

I did the Debonaire, it tool a lot of 2" squares and came together really quick once everything was cut out. The Nantucket is really lovely too.
