Fast and Easy Pinwheels!!!

I was over at Auntie's Quaint Quilts blog today and she shared a link,
which led to
 another link,
which led to a UTube video...
I am sure you are all aware of the "Daily Deal" they offer, right?
But have you checked out some of their tutorials?
I didn't know what I was missing...
and this video
is just too cool.
I can't wait to give it a try this weekend.
See just like that...
something fun to look forward to...
that and a good game of Domino's!

(I might not have added this correctly... let me know, if you know how)

I'm working on a pinwheel quilt now using this tutorial. It works great! Be sure to let us know how you like it.

This is quick way, BUT and I am STRESSING this..............If you make pinwheels in this way the outside edges of your block are on the BIAS.......for beginners this can make a very funky wavy quilt!!!! SO know you are forewarned, treat them carefully! I much prefer 2 squares each of lights and darks sewn across diagonals 1/4" from center line then cut in half on line.

That is a great method, I did that in a class I took one time.
I just love Missouri Star quilt Co. They have great ideas.

I thought the same thing as Cyndi about the bias edge being on the outside, but I also remember hearing a speaker at a guild meeting talking about sewing bias edges to bias edges--it really does work without the quilt getting crazy. I'd like to hear what you think when you've tried it.

darn, I thought I invented that technique, LOL. I put a tutorial on my blog in April - I hadn't seen the technique before that though.
