What I Did vs. What I Should Be Doing

I hope everyone was able to enjoy nice weather over the holiday weekend!
Even though our weather was cold and wet we still had a BBQ.
It was quiet though... I think it was the first time we didn't have a house full over Memorial Day.

So I took advantage of the "time" and made some
pillows for my sofa for summer with a "Going Coastal" feel.
Now a couple of months ago I was feeling brave and
showed a photo of the pillows that were on the sofa...
not brave enough to repeat that... suffice to say that these will be
a great improvement! Anything would have been a great improvement!
(* can't wait to get my hands on this fabric: "Going Coastal")

I just had to make a "Sprocket" pillow...
it was a tutorial over at Cluck Cluck Sew a little while back.
Let ye be warned: these are addicting!

Like the covered button with a little sail boat???

I also played around with the
Dress Forms pattern I had started a month ago...

I decided just to make 9 instead of the whole pattern
because I wanted it to be a wall hanging for my sewing room.

Now, I just need to make borders for it...
and get back to what I really should have been doing...

Working on my Le Petite project for the parade tomorrow!
Yikes! Do you have yours ready yet???
See you tomorrow ...remember I pick the winners of the giveaway tomorrow too!

See, told ya I'd be here! ;O) Wow, those pillows are AWESOME! I am loving those round ones. My couch could use some new pillows also...let's see, if I finish up all my current projects, I should be able to make some by...oh, Christmas! LOL!

Also love that little dress forms wall hanging. Are you using "Flower Sugar" fabrics? They are soooo pretty!

XOXO,

Cyndi

Now I am doing the opposite of you!!!
I should be sewing/stitching--but instead I am redoing the apartment--like in reorganizing and with getting some different pieces of furniture it is taking awhile!!!
love those pillows--
Hugs, Di and miss gracie

Oh my gosh I adore the pillows!!! The dress form quilt is so bright and cheerful it makes me smile, thank you for that, a smile is always welcome to my face, LOL. Our house was incredibly quiet this weekend, but it has been since my Grandson left for Air Force Basic just a week ago today. Extraordinarily quiet as a matter of fact. *sigh* Have a wonderful evening, I think I'll do some stitching on my 'Stitch Along' wall hanging. Hugs...

I love your dress form quilt! It is so pretty and makes me wish my husband and I didn't have to split our second bedroom between my sewing and his office as it kinda forces neutral decor. Perhaps I should kick him out - ha ha!

All of it is great! I want, no NEED, to make a couple of Sprocket pillows for my own couch. Amelia loves here. I'm waiting for HomeTown to come out and then I'll make some!

Darling Dress Form quilt! Love it. That is a pattern I've been thinking about doing for a long time. Your version convinced me that I need to make that quilt.
