Counting the Days

I don't have anything to do.
Remember when you were a kid?
Did you ever utter those words?
Well, it's been a long time since I have even had a thought like that.
I can guarantee you I haven't said that since I discovered Block of the Month Clubs!

I am still on a mission to work on BOM's -
like this one that arrived:
2011 Designer Mystery Block of the Month<SMALL>TM</SMALL> Block of the Month Program

and I need to get a grip on the 2010 Designer Mystery Block-of-the-Month as well.

It's kind of fun because it's a Christmas quilt with Kate Spain fabrics.
I am seeing a lot of finishes out there!
That's always good motivation to work on a project. Thelma's is just beautiful... you have to go check it out at Cupcakes 'n Daises. Sherri, is working on hers here at A Quilting Life is working on hers too.

At the same time I am making up a shop sample using the
new line of Holiday fabric by Kate Spain: Flurry!
I don't even want to think about how many days there are until Christmas...
but of course you probably already know that there is 190 days left.
I know, that was just mean.
Sorry, I'm like that though!

So I guess that is how my weekend is going to look.
How about yours?

Oh yeah, and a Father's Day BBQ too!

I have so much to do I don't want to do anything at all. I feel overwhelmed. (I just got back from being gone for 2 weeks. Too much catching up to do!!!)

It's so tempting!! I'm really considering because the fabric is beautiful! Plus, the fun of a mystery!

Wow - the old days of "There's nothing to do." I have enough to do for the next 16 years, at least. Stop over to read a post about buying 29 new patterns today!

Yeah... I can't remember the last time I said I have nothing to do... it seems I have too much to do most of the time. :) At least though, I'm not bored. lol

Man. Don't rush it! Summer hasn't even started yet!!! I hope to get my 2010 BOM done so that I can use it THIS Christmas.

I have been baffled by all the Christmas fabric that is coming out right now. I keep thinking "already?"

Oh my gosh, you are so bad. Christmas, please, didn't even put the peas and beans in the garden yet. I guess I better get moving!!!!

I love BOM's. When I really got stuck into quilting several years ago, I subscribed to a sampler BOM. It taught me so much, as well as coming together easily and with the beautiful colour combinations already put together for me.

I was at a local quilt shop on Saturday and bought a Halloween kit and saw some Christmas fabric behind the register. It gets earlier and earlier!
