I looked into that as soon as I heard about it...since I live in Portland! But, unfortunately it's the same weekend as an annual Board Game Convention here that I go to every year. Oh well, I am still going to QuiltCon in Feb.

Sinta - I started looking that up as soon as I saw an ad for it in QM's Sept/Oct issue. Last I checked the site, it did not have all the info and it didn't state if it included the room at the Red Lion - thinking it doesn't because it said that info would not be posted until Dec. Then one of Bonnie Hunter's classes was already sold out and my thought was either people have gone before and know what to expect or have an unlimited budget. The site did say ala carte classes would be offered later on but did not have a breakdown of costs. I really would love to go and finally meet Carrie Nelson, but I'm not sure it is going to be cost effective.
The exchange event looked fun with making matching blocks from their 100 blocks magazines but I could not tell from a small color swatch on the computer screen how you could possibly choose fabrics and make blocks to exchange with people and have all the blocks be remotely cohesive enough to put them all into one quilt top. I still would like to go and take a class from Carrie so I have not given up yet, but not sure I could do all four days.
