Here She Is!

I only had to put the outside borders on to finish
Coastal Lily and I managed to do that this weekend!

I started Coastal Lily along with Thelma last year. If you have seen
hers... it is back from the quilter and absolutely stunning!

I love this quilt and actually pulled from my stash for most of the fabrics.
That's a plus!
I wanted it to have a beachy/shabby chic feel.
Although when I saw Thelma's Coastal Lily in progress... I started having doubts.
I am so fickle!
I decided to make my circles from yoyo's... which became a process!
I enjoyed making the little yoyo's actually... it was the hand sewing
that was going to be the crux of the matter... either way I went.

What I don't like about the quilt is the stems. I used a light pearl cotton
through the machine on most of them and unless you are holding the
quilt the stems just don't show up well at all.
Never-the-less I like her a lot!

I had more pictures to share... but I can't seem to upload them.
Maybe I will share those for a Midweek Mosaic!

Just beautiful Sinta and have to say that I am just putting all the units together and noticed the same thing about the stems....I am thinking about using a fabric paint pen in grey to see if I can get some light color on them...will keep you posted on that.Great job and can't wait to see mine now!
