Hm, something quirky or funny. I love cats and have voices for each of them. When I talk to them, I also answer back for them. It keeps my family laughing. I don't know why, because the cats and I are just talking.

Today, me and my husband were discussing the first time we met, and we each had a totally different story at a totally different time! We met each time, but the one I remember the most is completely different that his! I guess its the man vs woman thinking thing?

Thanks for the giveaway! Quirky, well lets see. What quirks-that is probably my quirk thinking I have none! Maybe we should ask my husband that question!

Hi not sure if you will send to overseas but will tell you my funny story anyway. I run a gite (a little cottage for holiday accommodation)here in France. Its a two person cottage with a double bed. A couple made a booking with us and about a month before they were due to stay they sent an email saying they wanted their friend to come with them and was that okay, they knew it was only for two people and that there was only a double bed....but that was okay with them they would share!!!!!!!!!!! NO!!! it wasn't okay with me, crikey what sort of place do they think I run!! Have loads more stories to tell...think I will have to write a book. Thanks for the giveaway.

Wow--something secret or quirky? I'm a pastor's wife, so have to be selective, don't you know? Let's see--oh, I'm also an actress (well, okay, maybe that's quirky enough) and I always have a certain small stuffed brown bear backstage before I go on. Like, panic-attack-don't-leave-the-house-without-him-or-turn-around-and-go-back-or-ransack-the-place...Yeah, for reals.

Three years ago while my husband and I were at language school. I mixed up the words for funny and undressing. One afternoon, I was trying to tell my teacher I thought she was funny and by accident, I told her she was undressing herself!

Needless to say, I now remember very well the difference between those words.

what fun.....mmmh! confessions time?? Something quirky, you say?

I met my husband on a blind date when a mutual friend of his gave him my telephone number and he wanted to come over right then and go for a drive to the mtns. I locked the screen door before I answered the door, (just in case..lol) and we talked through the screen. I asked him which car was his, and he pointed to the white chevy impala convertible...and I opened the screen door..and told him to come in...let's go. I like to take chances.

And....I never quilted a stitch till I came to Canada! Eh?

What a generous gift for the giveaway! Thanks so much!

Something quirky? I wish I could say something amazing, like I have 12 toes or see dead people, but unfortunately, I'm not too extraordinary. I love quilting, so much so that I have an online business and am working toward becoming a certified quilt judge. I love genealogy, and have been scanning in pictures, researching family lines and plan to "publish" a family history book once I'm finished digging. I love photography and have a Nikon digital camera that I take almost everywhere - I have so many pictures that I had to get an external hard drive for my computer. I'm the baby of the baby on my Dad's side and come from a family of three girls. My husband comes from a family of three boys - we started dating when I was thirteen and have been married for over fifteen years with two lovely children. See, nothing terribly quirky there . . . :)

What a delicious post to read and drool over, Between the quilts and giveaway, all I can say is WOW! Something quirky about me, as a child I collected little paper gift bags. I loved litte tiny ones, but collected colorful ones as well. When I left home I had had a whole stack saved under my mattress, that I finally let go. I still love a pretty paper gift bags and tiny ones, but no longer save them under my mattress. You said you wanted quirky, there it is. Thanks for the giveaway.

My, what pretty quilts....and a fun giveaway too! Embarrassing - even after seeing all those quilts, I don't know what a Schnibbles is. Quirky (also embarrassing) thing about me - I can't see well. I mean, I really cannot see well, and have been this way all my life. When we were camping in Canada, one year, we drove into the campground, right by the bathhouse. I *thought* I saw the Women sign. I slung my camera around my neck & set out to see the place, but stopped in the bathhouse along the way. The little boy looked up from doing his business and asked, "hey pop, why's there a girl in here & what's she gonna take pictures of?"

Yup, sad but true. But, I'm still camping to this day, as DH & I live in a 40' 5th wheel, taken over by sewing stuff & doggie toys. He's truly a dear.

Great post. Delightful giveaway.

Funny story? I made a quilt to give to a boyfriend, who had just purchased a house. But we had broken up by the time I finished the quilt. I still gave him the quilt, as we remained good friends. Years later I learned that I had left a few pins in the quilt...he evidently rolled over on them with a new girlfriend and he thought I left them there intentionally. It truly was an accident!

I'm very romantic by nature, and when growing up, I loved the long dresses in Gone With The Wind and earlier times. Well, I got to pinning my hula hoop on the bottom of a long, full skirt of my mother's so I could be a southern belle, I guess. My friend and I both did it. We had fun, but some other kids laughed at us so we stopped. I still love long, beautiful dresses.

A quirky trait...hmmmm.... well I think my sweet husband would say it has to be the fact that I am constantly asking rhetorical questions and then looking at him for comment... he says he never knows how to respond because a) he has never even thought about the question at hand or b) (more likely) there is no answer

Something quirky about me? Well a recent funny story would involve me transcribing a pumpkin bread recipe by hand from my computer and proceeding to bake said bread in the completely wrong sized loaf pans, only to find the bread half-baked when I took it out of the oven. 30 more minutes in the oven didn't help either. Eek! Next time? I'll just print the darn recipe. Great giveaway!

Confession gee!I've got plenty I suppose the one that comes to mind is trying to get to the post box everyday before DH so that he doesn't see the parcels of fabric arriving and it's probably a good thing it doesn't look under our bed too often otherwise he might find the box's full of fabric that I've hidden, and they say confession is good for the soul so is retail fabric therapy!lol

A little quirky thing I do is I will not park between 2 vans in a parking lot, nor will I walk between 2 vans. Instead I'll park farther away if I have to, and I'll walk out of my way to find cars to walk between. I always laugh at myself when doing this, but still do it anyway.

Quirky? Hmmm, well I am so into the whole fall giveaway that I am still up at 2am... No okay that isn't really quirky...just obsessive.

My husby and I just recently had a mini staycation in Rochester, NY where we literally ate our way down Park Ave. It was totally crazy fun. We tried Lebanese, bakery yummies, and chocolates galore. It was splendiferous, especially cuz we couldn't possibly eat all we wanted to so we brought a bunch home with us to enjoy for quite some time!

You see, when I am tired, my words get mixed up. I found out years ago it is called "spoonerisms." (so named after Willaim Archibald Spooner). My sister is the same way. She and I can have a conversation, mixed up words and all, and never miss a beat or the meaning. I try to avoid public speaking when tired for obvious reasons.

Okay, funny story, Hmmm. Two years ago I went to a wedding were my son(being very well behaved and a favorite of the bride) was invited. They used goldfish in the centerpieces at the tables and asked me if my son would like the survivors. Sure I said, and after the wedding was given a 5 gallon paint bucket with 50, that is right, fifty goldfish! I had them in rubbermaid tubs all over the house. I gave them away to every friend I could convince to take at least one and still had over 25 left. Today, Larry, Moe, and Curly live blissfully in my quilt room. Does anyone know how long goldfish live anyway?

I can't think of anything quirky about me (you probably should ask my husband & family), but today I am having trouble sitting & walking after spending the afternoon at a pumpkin patch with my daughter's family. I always think the zip line looks like fun & I thought that if I didn't do it this year I never would. I just turned 60 this summer. So, I told my daughter that if she would do it that I would. She went first & then I went. When I first jumped off it felt like my arms were being ripped off. The landing is kind of hard too because you run into a ramp to land. I have bruises all over the tops of my legs fromt the staps on the harness. My tailbone hurts the worst though from going down a big slide that is built on a hill of dirt. I hit one hard bump & flew onto another one & really bruised my tailbone. My husband asked me how I felt this morning & I told him just fine because it's all my own fault. I guess I don't want to be old yet. My 8 year old grandson kept saying "this is just hilarious" when I was waiting to go on the zip line. My daughter took pictures & emailed them to all of my family.

Oh my - what beautiful inspiration scrolling down looking at all these beautiful creations!! I will be back to visit :) If I only I had the time to make all those quilts myself, but for now I'll have to content myself with looking...

Beautiful giveaway - thank you :)

My quirk... I am a terrible dancer but behind closed doors, dance like crazy! Luckily, my husband understands and, although he is a bad dancer too, we dance together at home all the time. Odd, but fun :)

I grew up in the least populous county in North Dakota (county seat has pop of 29)... and North Dakota itself is one of least populous states.

BTW: I'm finishing my ironing board cover do you need the photo by Thursday or will you have a link up Friday?

I loved seeing all the quilts! I always say I never lose anything but my camera was missing for so long but I had looked everywhere for it so I bought a new one. Then one day I was looking in a pockets in my purse and found my old camera! (The new one is actually a better camera so I guess it ended okay.)

When I was a senior in college, I spent a semester in Guadalajara, Mexico, and was infatuated with a guy I met there, Enrique, who zipped me around the city on his motorcycle. When I came back to the US, I went in search of a motorcycle just like his. My plan was to graduate college, drive across country (from Maine to San Francisco) to enroll in a Teach English as a Second Language certification program, then drive down to Mexico on my motorcycle and re-live those glorious days of youthful exuberance. I got as far as California on my new motorcycle, but I had met a guy right before graduation that I realized I was in love with, so I turned around and moved back to New Jersey. 17 years later, we are still together. And for many years, that motorcycle was my only transportation. When I turned 30, I celebrated by buying myself a newer, bigger motorcycle, but shortly thereafter I became pregnant with my first child and by the time the second one rolled around, I had given up the motorcycle for something with a roof and 4 wheels. I wouldn't change a thing, but now that I am traveling for work in Latin America, I must admit that seeing all the motorcycles zipping around, it stirs a youthful passion that has lain dormant for years now. I kinda want to pick up a guy at a club, hop on the back of his bike, and drive off into the warm, exotic night... Of course, I won't, but there's my true confession.

I am entering for my daughter Mel, her computer is down and she called and asked if once again I would enter her in contests, I couldn’t say no as she helps my wife and her mother with their charity quilting projects. I try to support them any way that I can.

I am obsessed with animals. I had a pet skunk when I was in junior high. She was named Aroma and was such a sweetheart! She did not live very long but she was and always will be one of my favorite pets. If that isnt strange/quirky, I don't know what is!: )

A great Schnibbles parade. Thank you. I don't know if it's quirky but I have a tendency to transpose numbers. Not letters, just numbers. Also, my mind and mouth don't always work together. Especially with left and right. When driving with my hubby I have to indicate with my hand which way to turn. I will say left and indicate right. So he will say "you mean your other left." I also have to think which way is east and which is west.

hmm something about me. I helped make a parade float once.

Hmm a quirky thing about me...and my dog, every morning when I get up he rubs and rolls all over my pillow, and I let him! I think he is putting my smell on himself. And I STILL don't know what Schnibbles are!!!

Happy quilting!

I've enjoyed reading some of the quirks on this blog. Too funny!! Here's an embarassing moment for me.. I like to use sign language when I sing or just sign a song.. One day I had my headphones on at work and was really "into" the music, eyes closed and signing up a storm. A coworker walks into my office and says "WHAT are you doing?!!"

Something quirky? I like cats better than kittens and puppies better than dogs! Other than that, I'm as odd as the next person! Thanks for the opportunity for your giveaway.

Thank you for having this giveaway.
I got in the car to go to the store. About 2 miles away I noticed I couldn't find my cell phone. Checked my bag. Checked my coat pockets. Turned around and went home. Used the house phone to call the cell phone. It rings in my shirt pocket that I'm wearing. Under my nose the whole time. Wow.

Ok, I'll confess. . . I just went through a stage where I could not eat enough raw mushrooms. . . I must have been lacking some nutrient or something ! Anyway, it was hard on my grocery bill, and I am now over it. . . they are OK now, but I can take 'em or leave 'em ! Beth

It does not make for a good dispostion, but I can't stand not knowing what's going on in the world. Thanks for including me in your giveaway!
