Letting the good times roll!
Isn't this a pretty sight!
And these!
And these are just magical!
I get to announce the winner of the Scrap-Basket Sensations giveaway for my blog today.
and the lucky winner of the autographed book is:
Vicki @ Dotty Jane who said:
"I think I like Tool Shed the best from today! However, they way I swim at this island, Over and Under would be more appropriate:) "
Vicki -grab hold of your jelly rolls... your book will be on it's way to you!
Thank you to everyone who entered the book giveaway!
Today the blog tour continues at Sue's... Quilt Times blog.
You have to go over and see her Island Chain quilt...
by the way, I believe that Island Chain was the most requested quilt
to make on the deserted island:)
This is not blasphemy or illegal, although it feels like it is...
do you ever put a spiral binding on your books?
This is what happens to the books I own that are going to be worthy of
lots of use. It is so worth the couple extra dollars
to make the book even more functional
for my use.
I hate trying to mark the page that I'm working on and having the book flip closed on me.
Propping it open, it flipping closed... on and on.
This way I open it to the project I am working on and it stays open... user friendly!
This is Eventide... the next quilt I plan on making.
I saw this completed version on The Secret Life of Mrs. Meatloaf. She had quilted it for her client.
I get 3 days off... and hopefully 2 days of sewing ahead!
(random photo, unknown source- I just loved the pink sewing machine)
Have a wonderful holiday weekend!

Congrats to the lucky winner!
I like your spiral on the book. What a smart idea!
Wish you a great weekend,
Laila
Congratulations to your winner! And I've done the same thing (put a spirl on some books). Makes things so much easier!
Congratulations to the lucky winner!! What beautiful, fun pictures! Spiral binding is such a good idea, especially for that book :) Enjoy your time off!!
Yay for the signed book to Vicki.
I've taken books like that to Kinko's, had them cut off the spine (ever so slightly) then 3 hole punch it for a binder. Not expensive, either.
Congrats to the winnner, I am currently fighting with a book flipping closed all the time, so will definitely keep the spiral binding in mind, what a great idea. Thanks!
Congratulations to the winner! Second time today I have seen Eventide in blogland. Very pretty! So much temptation!
Congrats to Vicki! I really like the spiral thing.
Congratulations to the winner of the wonderful book. I knew I have been missing something by not blogging. I have neglected my blog for a while now and decided to hold a giveaway to ask bloggers to visit me and sign up and be one of my followers. How about it are you game? Hope so.

Congratulations Vicki! :)
Spiral on the book is a great idea. And I will make Eventide next month, with you :)
congratulation to Vicki - happy winner ! :))
Oh be still my heart, I love those fabrics. When I'm using a book that flops closed in the middle of a project, I remember the "get it spiral bound" trick. But promptly forget about it when I'm done. I'm going to write a note to myself. Right now.
That's one big box of happy!
I love the way you bound the book. I really need to try that -- it really is frustrating sometimes when you can't stay on the right page!
Every time I see Eventide, it makes me want to join in the sew-along. That's such a gorgeous quilt. Do you have fabrics in mind already?
Hope you have a fabulous three-day weekend!
Love the jelly rolls...and the pink sewing machine! I'm definitely going to bind my copy of Kim's book, too...it helps so much!
Thank you! I can't wait to make something from this book!!
That looks like a great book! I always want to spiral bound my books, but always forget to bring them to the store to do it. Someday I'll get there, at least I have good intentions ;)
