July: AYOS Parade of Pinwheels!

I am so excited to show you the Dulcinea Schnibbles parade!
I know I say it every time... but there are some amazing
versions of the pattern... and I want to make another one, or two or three...
to copy the cute ideas!
But how about if I show you what the July Schnibbles pattern is first?

This is Lincoln!
A vintage Schnibbles? Oh yes... and it can be found as
a pdf pattern but also in the book Another Bite of Schnibbles!

Here is what you need to get started:

Background fabric for stars – ⅜ yard
charm squares for star points – 13
charm squares for star centers and strips – 58

I know you are going to enjoy the parade today!

There are lots of fabulous quilts to see!

Polly from Aunt Polly's Porch made a super fun
and striking version of this month project,
Dulcinea using some
pretty happy and fun colors and balanced it with
the dark fabrics... love that pink!

Barb, who is Wendy's sister...Wendy, Sue and
Barb have formed a mini circle to work on their
Schnibble projects together... isn't that fun?
(Sue's and Wendy's quilts are a little farther below)

Karen S made a sweet summer quilt out of Happy Go Lucky
and a few other Bonnie and Camille fabrics mixed in.

Kim P at Kim's Big Quilting Adventure made a patriotic
Dulcinea here. The outside border reminds me of ship flags.

Lesley, the Cuddle Quilter, made a gorgeous Dulcinea. So tropical and
I love the inner and outer border treatment too!

Linda at the Katy Rose blog made this super cute little D quilt. I love the black sashing
it just adds a lot of pizazz to the quilt... don't you think?

made a beautiful version of D our of Kate Spain
fabrics... and super sized it! I just love the look of it and that border fabric!

Marti made a beautiful Dulcinea here.
It is very striking!
This is Marti's 27th quilt this year!
She is amazing, and talented!
Her blog... 52 Quilts in 52 Weeks!

Here is a sweet quilt made by...
you are never going to guess this...
Mary of Quilt Hollow!
She went outside her signature style and
made a beautiful little Summer quilt here with the
sweetest little sashing between the blocks.

May at Krisp Quilts blog made a beautiful two color Dulcinea!
Isn't that border fabric gorgeous with it?

Michele at Island Life Quilts blog made a happy
summertime feel quilt here... those stripes are so cute!

Nancy A made her cute Dulcinea out of PB&J
fabric group. It's just adorable.
I need some of this fabric!

Thelma from Cupcake n Daisies blog made
a sweet-as-can-be version! The flying geese border
is so cute with the pinwheels... but pinwheels on a stripe-stick,
it's just putting me over the edge!

Patti in Vancouver WA. made a lovely version of her
Dulcinea using Posh. Sweet! Her blog is Quilting Is My Passion.

Sally made an adorable version here out of Michael Miller
fabrics! Those pinwheels are so cute and the border and backing
are just perfect for it!

Sandie at Crazy 'bout Quilts made a beautiful
little D quilt here!

Sandy F outdid herself!

This one is the center close up of the Schnibble Sandy F made!
She designed the cute center and gave the quilt a
holiday theme... pinwheels starts and stripes! Love it!

Nancy E made a cute version of Dulcinea and
is also using a patriotic theme topped off with a
bowl of fruit!
Nest is Nancy E's Gentle Art quilt that

got missed on the parade last month.
So she is getting a special guest appearance this time!

Here is Sue's quilt... she didn't get to go to Spain with Wendy.
Sue's version of the D quilt is stunning!
It is so rich and beautiful in her colors!

Susan (no blog) made a cute Dulcinea here with a fun little
blue striped border!

Sue from Just Sew Sue blog made a fun version of Dulcinea
here in bright happy colors!

Tana made her beautiful version of Dulcinea out of Singing In The Rain
fabric group. It reminds her of the windy Spring weather where she live,
in the middle of Kansas.

Here we have a traveling Dulcinea!
This was made by Wendy, It Is What It Is blog, while she was in Spain!
It looks so festive! Ole'!

Patty at A Stitch in Time blog whipped up her
Fireworks Dulcinea mini version that fits her wall perfectly!
She wanted to make it in red white and blue and used
fabrics from her stash... but plans on making another one; full size.

Paulette (no blog) used her magic bag of scraps that
she has been digging into for several months now and
made up this super cute version of Dulcinea here.
It looks so soft and cuddly cute!

Ramona  made a beautifully unique version of Dulcinea
here using cheddar and was able to make the pattern look so different!

Satu at Quilt Tales blog made her version in sweet soft colors
and even added little pinwheels in the corners! Cute!

Shannon at Nunus Quilt World made
a gorgeous Schnibbles. She made her blocks all tone on tone
and gave it a sweet little
border too!

The next two quilts are from Pati E.

She made Gentle Art out of purples to go with her
sewing studio. It didn't get a chance to be entered into the parade last
month... so I thought you would like to see it!

And here is Pati's Dulcinea... her pinwheels just pop!
I like the half square triangles for the border.

Tilda at Huckleberry Stitches has such a cute version made here in beautifully
sweet red and grey prints... and do you see those sweet little
yoyo's in the centers? Love that!

And lastly we have a bright happy Dulcinea
here from Lyndsey from So Many Yarns blog...
it looks like she has created one that looks like sparklers!

Have you been over to see the other half of the parade yet?

I knew I was going to love the Dulcinea parade. I really enjoyed putting this pattern together and love everyone's creative interpretations. Someday I want to make another Dulcinea in a summertime/patriotic version. Tana

Wow, I think this is the most diverse group of Schnibbles yet! I particularly like Thelma's (nice, "modern" feel)and Sandy F's clever patriotic version. Also, I can't wait to tell my husband you think I'm amazing and talented!

I love them all! As I already told to Sherri, I was mentally prepared to sew Plan C in this month, but Lincoln is pleasing too... I'll just change my fabrics;o)

Sinta, I just want to thank you for your kindness. Yesterday I was ready to throw in the towel and rip out all the sashing I had put in. I felt blase about it, and my ideas for a border just weren't working. Then I took a break and saw the parade and saw your comment on my quilt top, and suddenly I was ready to go! Sinta said my sashing added pizazz! I felt re-inspired and now after getting ideas from the other blogs, everything is coming together nicely. Thank you so much! You never know what one word of encouragement will do. :)
