A Whirl Wind Weekend

I meant to add this to my post on Friday... but
ran off  before I did it!

Here is one last photo that I took of Summer Wind.
I put it on the guest bed. It's queen size. I am trying to decide if
I need another border..
maybe? maybe not?

I went away over the weekend to Southern California. It's a 5 hour drive
from here. I hate being in the car that long... but it was worth it when we got
to our destination.
There was a birthday party for my mom.
My sister had just bought a new home... so the pressure was
on to get everything unpacked and boxes thrown away since she
was hosting the party!
It was fun but very rare to have my siblings all together.
My daughter in law and grand daughter even came with us...
that was extra special.
You know it was a good time when you leave
and feel like you had just gotten there!
It all ended too soon!
And I didn't take my camera out once!
*gr*
I am going to have to access my DIL for photos!

Sinta, I personally do not think that your quilt needs another border...I just love it!

So glad you enjoyed your Mom's birthday celebration and family visit.

We are celebrating my Mom's birthday this weekend. We have a couple of surprises planned for her!

WOW! I couldn't tell it was that big from the other pictures you posted!! It's beautiful and I think it's big enough! I'd call it good and finish it! Great job!! Hugs, H in Healdsburg

I'm going to have to give this pattern a try as I know a friend who would love this for her room. Your quilt is beautiful and the colours so cheery.

That is so wonderful to got to see all of your family. I hate long drives too, but the destinations are worth it :)

More is better. Keep adding borders LOL!!!

I love your Summerwinds quilt! Typically, I can use a quilt that size on a queen sized bed because I have mattlasse coverlets that drape over the mattress enough to cover it completely. Those coverlets are pricey, but for me, well worth it, as I will have them forever and I can top them with quilts that otherwise would seem too small for the bed.
