MIdweek Mosaic: A B C's

Today's obsession:

(photos mostly from Pinterest, Acorn Quilt Co. and Nana & Co)

It seems that the Moda Spell It With Fabric campaign ends tomorrow.
It has been fun to see those quilts come together on a variety of blogs.
At first I wasn't sure I was a big fan.
I had seen the alphabet challenge for their designers
on a Quilt Market You Tube video.
I especially loved  Laundry Basket Quilts
version of an Alphabet quilt.
(in the video)

Here is a photo from Edyta's blog:

There are a few that I have really liked...
like American Jane's (Sandy Klop)

Even though I wasn't completely sold on this...
I collected the patterns... and after the quilts I saw today
on Instagram and on Camille's blog...
I am pretty much sold on it.

I started liking it as a sampler quilt along with letters.
What is your opinion on it?
Have you been tempted?
If you have... I would love to see yours!

Once my mom goes back home, I'll finish mine. It's a quote

Funny, I felt the same way and liked the same quilts you did. The embroidery and appliqué blocks were really cute too. I saw someone just do a word, so I'm thinking of just doing my last name, we'll see.

Like you I was not too sure how sold I was on the letters quilt, but yardgrl60 has been posting awesome photos of her progress on IG and I am totally smitten! Another project for my quilt bucket list....sigh!
I need to live a really long time, or start sewing faster! Lol

I have been behind on visiting my blog friends. I enjoyed having a look/see tonight, at all of the pretties!!!
I haven't gotten to start my Lake project yet.

I think I prefer the blocks made half size as appears in some of the quilts. Not sure I would make a whole quilt - but maybe a name or a banner...

I liked the idea of making 1 letter "P" and hanging other mini's on my sewing room wall....then as I started to see all the sampler style quilts pop up I started saving some of the pictures to my camera and I'm thinking that once I hear the words "you're gonna be a grandma" then I'll make an entire quilt from them and add little things to it!

I was going to take a pass on it but looking more and more, I saved all the patterns down. I did start and make a name banner for my God-son. I plan on posting that soon; once I get it quilted. Then I think I will work on a happy-scrappy ABC quilt all for me.

Can you tell me more about the quilt in the lower right corner of your montage? I love,, love it, and would like to visit the maker's blog but I can't find it. Searched on Pinterest, google and the two sites you mentioned but had no luck.

I was taken with it from the beginning especially after seeing how easy the letters were to construct. I've been trying to do a few letters everyday and will continue. I liked them so much I'm even thinking of starting another in like a red, white & blue colorway.

I followed the pattern reveals and looked at some of the projects people were making but it didn't suck me in. Which is a good thing since I do not need to start one more thing that I can't finish soon. I do, however, love the idea of a project using those letter patterns...maybe one day.

What a fun collage. I'd never been a big fan of alphabet quilts, but I Love Edyta's blocks. Very Pretty!
