Endings and Beginnings

I hope you all are planning a wonderful
holiday weekend!

My plans for the weekend...
are to finish up my little
Schnibbles!
(the end of the month is getting near)!

I also have made progress this week on
Layered Flowers...
I went from this...

to this....

I am going to be happy to have some hand sewing to do in the evening!

Normally I am putting out the flags and buntings outside and getting out
my red, white and blue decor for the summer and a little flower planting on the side.
But
I have some packing to do so I might not get "into" my decorating this time!
The house sold and I will start the moving
preliminary routine now while scrambling to find another
house in the area!
So that little quilt with the Layered Flowers is going to be my only gardening
for now.
I am in a 5 week countdown!
Yikes!

(that's five times the trash service will be here...
boy, am I going to do some timed purging)!

Have a fun and safe weekend!

I would love to make those layered flowers blocks. I looked up the pattern but it doesn't say appliqué. Am I correct assuming it is appliqué?

That is sucha cute quilt! Congrats on selling your house and good luck with the purging and packing. That's about my least favorite thing to do.

Oh, Sinta!! First, I LOVE the layered flowers quilt! Gorgeous!! And congrats for the house sale! That is such a stressful thing! And DO let the purging begin...we got rid of over HALF our stuff accumulated over 36 years of marriage. It was hard at the start, then it just kinda takes on a life of it's own... don't look back!! I hope you find your forever home with a wonderfully perfect new sewing room! Good luck and God Bless!!

Oh you are going to be so so busy! We actually have our house for sale too, but the market is terrible here, so I don't really see it selling anytime soon... Good luck with everything!

Yur Schnibbles and your flower quilt looks so good love them! And at least your flowers will last and you don't need to water them;-)
You're moving? Congrats to the house sell and hope you'll find a new one soon. I know I'm not the only one who would love some pretty pictures of your new home when you've found it.
Have a great weekend!

Oh goodness, you are going to be busy for sure! Congratulations on selling your house, these days that isn't as easy as it sounds. Now you have shown me two more quilts I want to make, so hopefully I will be busy too!

Hi Sinta--
you will love getting rid of stuff--
because it means that you can actually have out all the things that you really do love and that mean something to you!
I did alot of getting rid of this past winter/spring and it is great--
why we think we have to have sooo much stuff is beyond me--and the one area that I really did get rid of was the holiday stuff--
I will keep it simple--real simple for each holiday now--
great wishes on finding the new home--
hugs, di and miss gracie

Congrats on the house sale! I think that junk purging is fun! And love those quilts, too. I can't believe that we are both using Fig Tree!

That layered flowers quilt went quick and looks so cheerful! I don't recall you mentioning a move, but I certainly wish a stressless month to come (but it won't happen). Just be on the lookout for a new home with a special sewing space for you!

Haha funny I should read this today. We are moving in July and this weekend gone was a three day weekend in Australia, so I hired a rubbish removal service trailer in time for it. Three days, three kids bedrooms and a trailer half full! Major clean out, chuck out, purge. Still got the adults stuff to go through! Lucky the service comes and empties the trailer when it's full and brings it back til your all cleaned out. I WILL NOT take the unused with us!
