I Am Going to be Brave

Okay, instead of a Midweek Mosaic... I am going random and
somewhat reluctantly sharing photos of the
home we just moved into.
Last week I showed a photo of the outside of the house.

We had not moved in the last 6 1/2 years but
we do move a lot... but never out of the general area.
Some houses are larger... some smaller.
This time we went from a two-story  to a single story
house. I am okay either way... but
I do have to get creative when we go "cozy".

Keep in mind that there are things still out of place...
like that phone cord!
But I am getting there!

Here is the second bedroom which is also the sewing room.

And a guest room.

This one is the view of outside...

And here is my bedroom.
I can't decide if I like the quilt on the wall or not. I have a quilt hanger
to put up if it is going to stay.

I still have things to put away...
and throw away (perhaps that bed tray)...
and a few more boxes in the kitchen and family room.
I will share some pictures of those tomorrow.

Happy hump day!

What a pretty and cozy home!! I moved a lot as a kid, and for some reason when I got married, we moved into this house and we are still here 20 years later. :) I keep thinking it is time to move, but when it comes down to it, I just can't...at least not yet! ;)

What a delightful home! And my favorite room (of course) is your sewing room. What a perfect spot to sew in front of that window. And I spy some really cute children's sewing machines!

Enjoy the process!!

It looks nice!! I'm so sad that you had to go through the ordeal of moving though!! I love the quilt on the guest room bed and the quilt on your bedroom wall is beautiful too!! And I think I see some schnibbles on your sewing room wall! Are you still in Oakhurst or did you move to another town? Hope you get all settled soon so you can sew and play!! Hugs, H in Healdsburg

Moving is always such an upheaval, but great for cleaning all of the closets at the same time!!!!

I'd keep the quilt up. I think it will look really nice. Maybe instead of pitching the bed tray, paint it to match the room!

I am so impressed at your speed of unpacking and setting up your home. Where are all of your boxes and paper and left over stuff? Hiding in the garage? You have been super busy!

Not sure why so reluctant. It's cute cute. And you are making it your own little by little. Finding what works and what doesn't.
I used to move a lot when younger. so many things going on in life that no place was final. when my daughter went into middle school I knew it was time to settle in for a spell. It was the first time I had stayed in one place for more than two years. I didn't move again until my daughter was a freshman in College. I recently moved again after almost 8 years. I'm hoping that this one will be the final house before moving to either an in law apartment or a retirement home! LOL!!

So sweet! And no clutter. Come over and help me please! My kitchen is smaller that the last one and I don't have a pantry anymore. So, I have too much stuff and no space. Not to mention my 12 inch plates do not fit in 10 inch cupboard.
