Not counting the project I started already,
here are a few quilts that have made it onto the
contenders list for 2015.
I have Edyta on my mind!
I love my Laundry Basket Quilts books and this year I plan to use scraps and put them
to good use making some beautiful LB quilts! Or at least one!
This is so cute... and it seems do-able for a mediocre embroidery
want-to-be like me.
This year there were a few Alphabet quilts being made, thanks to Moda
and Temecula Quilt Co.
I would like to make one... but I'm not sure which style.
I found this on Pinterest... I would love to make a scrappy Trip Around the World
out of sherbert fabrics.
I love love love Dresden blocks...
and you can bet that I will be making this Halloween theme
version along with a few others. To me, it's like instant gratification.
I love how each and every block comes together.
I have this applique project waiting in the wings for me.
I am in love with it... and have been since I bought all the
fabric for it... about 3 years ago.
This year... it's a-go!
I know knowing, or at least next to nothing about sewing clothes...
buy this year... especially with more grand babies on the way...
I intend to sew some little girl clothes!
Right now this sounds stressful, but I am sure once I get the hang of it
I will enjoy the process.
I love these orange slice style quilts... and especially the
modern look from Zen Chic. Definitely on my list!
Yeah, well, I like the whole booth here... even the polka dots on the floor!
I might just move in.
I started a Gypsy Kisses quilt... and must get back to it. This one
pictured is from Hyacinth's blog.
Of course... everything is in pencil and will move around on the list...
but it's a start!

I like that you call it your contenders list and write it in pencil. I'm like that too, lots of ideas and many of them will change as the year progresses. You have some good options here.
I, too, love EVERYTHING Edyta. And she is the sweetest! Did a quilt cruise with her awhile back and she is definitely a sweetheart and talented, too! I made the alphabet Moda blocks & need to finish. I have a couple of quilts I plan to start AFTER I've finished a few UFO's!!
You have some very nice projects on your contenders list.
I used to sew Christmas dresses for my daughter with a matching vest for my son. I don't enjoy garment sewing as much as I do quilting but there are some adorable patterns out there for little ones.
Great list of contenders ! I also LOVE anything Edyta !
Looking forward to seeing what quilts you will be making in 2015 !
I love the "contenders" list!
I also want to make one of Edyta's quilts this year!
You are the most ambitious quilter I know!!! Love it all!!
XO Kris
Thanks for sharing: do you already have the pattern for the bunting? I looked online and couldn't seem to find it. If you know where it is still available, I'd love to know> Thanks so much!! Hugs, H in HEaldsburg
I love everything on your list and it reminds me that I should a list, too! But yeah, I've already finished my Schnibbles just need to quilt it.
Very nice projects (I have Edita Sytar too in my todo list...)
What a great list! I love sewing clothing -- if only I had a little girl to sew for, you lucky girl. Definitely give it a go -- I hope you love it. And that polka dot floor booth was one of my favorites that year at market -- those colors were the inspiration for my Steampunk quilt!
There are lots of lovely projects here. You can sew the clothes! Have no fear. I sewed lots of clothes for my daughter who is now 27. They didn't have the cute patterns like they do now, either. I think a Laundry Basket Quilt is on everyone's list this year (including me). Someone should do some sort of sew-along or something.
So many projects to add to the list. You have some great ideas to keep you busy this year. I am making a list of all of my unfinished projects, so hard to stick to that with so many great ideas out there.
I have Edyta on my mind as well. Also the Orange Peel, but can't decide on a construction technique. Maybe we should organize a sew along!
Wow....what a year it will be for you. Have fun.
Oh my--you got a nice 'list' there todo!!!
Quilts are like eating at a buffet too me--always more to eat than the stomach can handle!!!
But unlike food--the quilts won't spoil or give one an upset tummy!!
My favorite one is the pink and mint green one under the old sewing machine!! and I love alphabet ones too and have 2 different ones in mind--and then there is.... and......
smiles, di and miss gracie
Thanks so much for posting my embroidered bird banner sampler. Have had some inquiries from your readers. It's temporarily sold out in my Etsy shop but more are on the way. Many other embroideries in my shop now too.
