Market from the Sidelines

I'm a little late but I wanted to join in on Amy's Bloggers Quilt Festival. Amy, Park City Girl had a quilt festival last Spring and it was so fun!
There is, right now, almost 500 bloggers out there that have posted their quilts for the festival. There is a list with links over at Park City Girl. I just love seeing them all!
This one was made several years back when Moda had a challenge. The challenge was to use a specific set of background fabrics and of course use all Moda fabrics in the quilt.
The pattern was an original from Quilters' Paradise, a LQS who actually just debuted at Market with all of their patterns! I like the scrappy look of this one and the scallop border alternative.

Now, hot off the press is this fun magazine... and Miss Sweet Liberty, Jennifer is published in it!
I have to go and hunt this one down! They have fun little projects in it; favorites from AP&Q and Jennifer's little owl pillow! It's so cute... you have to go see!!!

Oh yeah, I almost forgot... she is having a giveaway also!
So hurry on over there and check it out.

Now, I just want to say thanks to all of those girls that were twitting and blogging about Market and giving us a taste of the fun that was going on in Houston! I couldn't get enough of it!
The Fat Quarter Shop Jolly Jabber was a great resource for photos!
Brenda from Little Acorn had an adorable booth and her new fabric line is so very sweet! Barbara from Quilt Soup made up a couple of beautiful quilts using Brenda's line.
Minick & Simpson won the blue ribbon for their booth! It was... a nautical theme... imagine that! Their new line Bar Harbor is great and the new M&S patterns... really cute!
Now, I have to say Joanna, Fig Tree & Co. did it again. I just can't stand it! The new "kids" fabric line. Her new fabrics made up in those new patterns... Joanna, you're killing me!
Sherri from A Quilting Life got to be one of her "sewing elf's" for pre-market craziness!
Beautiful job Sherri!
I can't wait to see more from those wonderful shop owners who did a great job at sample spree... so we can touch (and buy) some of the goodies fresh from market to us!

I have to track down the pattern for your quilt - just love it! I read this on Tuesday morning - then while I was out and about, checked the supermarket magazines for a break from trying to remember my list - saw this magazine and had this little voice say you should buy that, but of course couldn't remember why... now it all fits!

Sinta,
I love your quilt and the border is the perfection addition to it. It is like framing it with ribbon.

Very pretty- so many beautiful quilts to enjoy in the show.
Thanks for sharing.

Regards,
Anna
