Fabric, Fun & Some Characters

I parked next to this little group of guys today and I couldn't resist taking a picture of them.
Don't you think they are a handsome group of characters?
I guess this sets the mood for some Monday randomness.

I have to show that I completed my Jelly Roll Sampler block!
I decided to make it out of soft "shabby" fabrics. I figure you can't go wrong with that.
There are certain combos that are always "safe".
Red, white & blue;
blue and yellow;
black, red and white.
I am such a woosie when it comes to "mystery" projects! It really unsettles me!
Now I have to figure out Flicker so I can submit it to the group!

Last week I went to Quilter's Paradise in Clovis, CA. They are one of our featured shops.
They have really cute displays and thousands of bolts of fabric!
I had to take this picture because I had bought the pattern and have been on the hunt for black & white stripe for the basket handle fabric. QP sold out of the stripe. I saw on Freda's Hive that she was just at a workshop and this was one of their projects! She kindly lead me to a resource for the stripes:)
The other pictures are just some eye candy for you!
It's like taking a stroll around the store! They have such cute displays. Color coordinated.
So next time they have the gift certificate giveaways for our A Year of Schnibbles, you'll have an idea of the store you would be shopping in.
I also wanted to show you what we have been doing
the last two Saturday evenings.
(Yes, I do allow myself time away from my never-ending-list-of-projects.)
Watching soccer!
I had been a "soccer mom"... and have missed the sidelines since the boys have grown up.
But now, we went to the Fresno team's game with a couple of the boys
and my sister and her family. It was so much fun!

This one next to me still plays soccer.
My BIL is the assistant coach for the Fresno Fuegos team...
which kinda makes it a little more fun.
Don't you think that they are a handsome group of characters?
This is just part of the catching up... I also have quilt show pictures
and my Fig Tree Club class... I will be back soon.

But that doggie photo - oh my word - is that too cute or what? I guess that's what they call a "group shot"...LOL How absolutely adorable.

Been to Fresno a few times. I'll have to ask hubby if we'll be passing through on our way to Oregon this summer when we go to Sisters to the quilt show there.

Hey, we've been to Fresno for soccer! Both my kids have played FOREVER and so we've been there for tournaments and State Cup. Now my son--who is (YIKES!) 29--still plays (outdoor and indoor) and coaches (high school boys and girls), so we're still involved to some extent. Looks like you had fun!
