Welcome To Our State Fair!

What a whirlwind I have been in!
Lots of hustle and bustle while preparing for the wedding of our son!
Isn't that so fun that Sherri & I both had weddings on the same day?
So so much I want to share...

But more on that latter... we have a Schnibbles Parade today!!!
The Schnibbles assignment for the month was State Fair,
and all of the little quiltlettes turned out so cute and fun... and be sure to look for the secondary pattern
in the quilt of the little pinwheels!

But before the Year of Schnibbles parade starts...
I wanted to show you our project for July's parade!
I love this little pattern and I think you will have fun doing it too! It's Joy Luck!
Named by Carrie after one of her favorite movies: "The Joy Luck Club".
To me, it kind of looks like small Chinese Lanterns, let me know what you think!
So here it is the unveiling of Joy Luck:

This is Carrie's pattern cover. The patterns are barely back from the printer and photographer right now, so there will be a little delay in being able to order it... but don't worry, we are going to extend this month's Schnibble and give you some time to be able to get the pattern in your hot little hands and get 'er done!
We will plan on the next Year of Schnibbles parade to be on Monday August 5th.

What you will need is:
2 charm packs
1 1/3 yard of background fabric
1/3 yard for the binding

I made mine out of my small but sweet collection of vintage sheets. My main source for vintage sheets is from Becky (who is as sweet as can be) at Sweet Cottage Dreams. The inner border fabrics are from Quilt Soup.
Since I just whipped this up yesterday, I haven't quilted it yet, but I will soon!

Here is our State Fair Parade!

Look at how fun! This one is from Angela at Country Scrap Quilts.
This makes a great summertime quilt doesn't it?

This one looks so rich!
It was made by Edith at Red Door Quilting.

Here is Cindy's State Fair! I fell in love with this one at first sight! It's just happy!
She has more photos of it on her blog: Hyacinth Quilt Designs.

This one here just looks like summer! It's made by Cathi at Shakerwood Quilts! See what I mean about the small pinwheels in the secondary pattern? They are so cute.

This little Schnibbles was made by Cara at Cara Quilts and it already has a home and is being loved by a sweet little baby!

This sweet little Schnibble was made out of "Attitude Girls" by Carol of Carol's Craft Creations! Mary did the quilting on it and she is just a master of that!

This one is from Quilting is Blissful. I love Di's State Fair with the pink borders! It just makes it look so fun!

This one was made by Bea from France. I just love the look of this one in these color tones. Mail to France seems to be a bit slow... so she is still waiting for her border fabric!

This one was made by My Life in Quilts,  Denise, out of Wonderland fabrics by Momo.

Here is State Fair done in fall colors by Jo's Country Junction. She has more pictures on her blog and one of them showing the fun quilting she did on it. Love the white picket fence too!

Darlene from Quilting Daze made her State Fair and added an inner flange border "peeping out" in red!

Here we have State Fair by Judith, Smokey from the Netherlands. I love her color palate with the blue greens and browns.

Here is Karen K's. State Fair in a sweet little setting with her dolls! She used an older 3 Sisters line of Mistletoe Manor!

Heather, Quilt or Stitch blog. I seriously love this fabric line!

Andee from Modern Diary blog. Looks like she just got a jump start on Christmas!

This one is made out of Mary E. fabrics by Kim from Kim's Big Quilting Adventure!

Here is Cindy's State Fair table runner, 31 x 82, for her dinning table. She has more photos of it on her blog

Now you need to go see the rest of the parade over at Sherri's blog, A Quilting Life, I'm going over there right now myself!
oh, and Happy Canada Day!
It's Canada's 143rd birthday!!!

What a fun new pattern - I already have placed my order with Quilt Taffy for my copy! :O)
All the State Fair quilts are wonderful! It is amazing how the same pattern can always look so much different with different fabrics!
P.S. I checked both parades and didn't see my State Fair quilt...

WOW, Sinta!! You whipped that one up in a day? I am SEWWWWWWWWW impressed!!!!!! It looks really soft and sweet with the old sheets and the addition of the pink dots. Too cute!

Now you can breath that the quilt and the wedding are done. That is super neat that you have the same anniversary!!

I love all of the state fair quilts. My favs are the ones done in primary colors - of course!

Have a happy day! Thanks for the shout out. Adding more fabric in the shop as we speak.
