I've Made It! My 200th Post!

Did I get your attention?

Go ahead and skip to the bottom of the post if
you want to know more now!

A couple of evenings ago I had a class at the LQS.
I got to "guide"  a wonderful group of women in making Due South.
I don't really like to say that I teach a class. Because I didn't make the quilt up and because most of the women in the classes are usually very experienced quilters themselves.
I kind of consider myself a guide, just because I have already made the quilt, I can give some shortcut advise and walk the women through the process so they can think less and have fun more and concentrate on the creative part of the journey.
'Cause girls just wanna have fun!
I had a lot of fun myself and enjoyed the evening a lot. I haven't been doing many classes this year...
sidetracked by the wedding mostly I suppose. I had a class a couple of weeks ago and now this one... and that's all there have been since early spring.

So, the picture at the top of the post is my bouquet of fat quarters to you!
This is my 200th post and since I do a lot of my posting during my "lunch hour",
I wanted to celebrate with flowers (the non perishable kind) and this really fun book that I am loving!
Lunch Bags by Stash Books (C & T). It has patterns for 25 different lunch bags or "green" packaging items.

So here's what you do if you want to be entered into the giveaway:

Leave a comment and tell me your favorite way to spend your lunch time...
or share the name of a favorite lunch recipe.
I will pick a winner on Friday August 27th.

My goal is to make lunch time more fun and start packing my lunch too!

P.S. an extra entry if you can tell me what I refer to myself as in my class.

I work from home so the best lunches are on the days that I actually remember to eat lunch. The very best are spent in my favorite bistro with my best friend.

Sinta,
Congrats on your 200th post dear "guide". As for lunch, absolutely love tuna or salmon salad in avacado halves. Healthy, nutricious and unique! and run errands or connect with friends during lunch the easiest.

Honestly my favorite lunch is just a bunch of simple things. A nice piece of crusty bread with some butter, a little salami and a little cheese, round it off with a piece of fruit. It's fun to savor everything a bit at a time - when I get the time, of course! Thanks for the giveaway.

And thanks for guiding all of us. :)

Congratulations on your 200th post. I have just started work after 9 years of raising children and havent become creative with my lunches yet. Seems like I need some of your fabulous inspiration!

Almost every Tuesday is spent sewing with friends. We start about 10 am then break for lunch between 1 and 2pm. My favorite thing to make for the girls is a salad. It has grilled chicken with chipotle marinade, mandarin oranges, tomatoes, cucumbers, homemade sugar coated pecans, dried cranberries, feta cheese and (of course) lettuce, romaine. Then drizzled with a raspberry vinagrette! SO YUMMY@!

I'm a substitute teacher so lunch is about 20 minutes. Sometimes teachers don't actually write down what their lunch time is, and since there are several different lunch periods, I find myself waiting to see if kids show up, and when none do, I skarf down my lunch before they arrive. Usually I have my computer with me and blog hop while I eat!!

Thanks so much for the chance at your giveaway :)

My favorite lunch is at the zoo with my granddaughter. The lunch is not fancy, PB & J and animal crackers. What fun we have

I might be too late but my lunch time tradition is to go eat at the food carts every friday. At first I was a little sketched out but they are actually very good and apparently are famous? But then I go with my coworkers and we sit on the wall outside of the med school I work at and eat :)
