My Little Story As Featured Quilter

The story begins:

Once upon a time

I thought I would report on how the evening went last night.
I was the guest speaker/featured quilter at the local quilt guild and there were 50
wonderful women there for the show!
I brought in the 40 quilts and nobody seemed to run for the doors!
In fact they look
very happy don't they?
They welcomed me and made me feel like a shinning star...

But here they are again....

even the camera person was falling asleep!
I guess it was all too much for them!
Ok, okay, I'm just kidding...
I asked them pose for me at the beginning!
Willingly, they agreed. They are so funny!
But the night wasn't over yet...
the bright lights were yet to come!
If I had only known....

You see there was this guy....
Oh yes he did!
He pulled me over on my way home... and it wasn't for an autograph either!
*

*
But do you know what happened?
Nothing!
 I didn't get a ticket!
***
And I went on my merry way!
(I'll be back with pictures of the quilts from the little event)

I think he just found out that there was a mega star in town and he wanted to give you a police escort. I like that story.

I knew you were kidding!! There's no way anyone fell asleep during your trunk show!! They were probably at the edge of their seats!! That was funny that you asked them to pose, though! Lol!

Oh Sinta! Were you speeding?! hehe :) My sister-in-law posted on her FB that a cop had the nerve to pull her over for tailgating. I *really* wanted to post under it that she deserved to get pulled over if she was tailgating! I haven't been pulled over in a couple years - but last time I did it was for speeding after my grandma passed away and I was in a daze. I am glad he pulled me over though and brought me to my senses! Glad you didn't get a ticket though! :)

Sinta, I would be very happy that the officer DIDN'T want your autograph if I were you, LOLOL. Can't wait to see your quilts! Hugs...

Oh, Sinta, you are such a stitch! (like my pun? :o) I am sure that every one of those 50 sweet ladies were thrilled with your trunk show. You should have gotten a photo of them all drooling, as I am sure that is what they did once you brought out your beautiful quilts!

Glad you didn't get a ticket...did you show Mr. Policeman your pretty quilts? I bet if the officer had been a "she", she would have loved it! ;O)

Can't wait to see the quilts.

XOXO,

Cyndi

I'll bet he wanted to take you for a cup of coffee and a doughnut. Right?

Ha! Ha! Too funny! I agree with Cyndi -- should have taken pictures of the ladies drooling and with their jaws dropping.

I can't believe you took a picture of the police car!

Funny :-) Of course, you did a great job -- it's like blogging, except out loud! Would love to have been there.

I would have loved to been at your program. What a riot that you took photos of your audience.

Photos of the flashing lights... something I never want to get! Ack!!

Love the sleepy pics! Can't wait to hear more about your evening in Quilts. :)

Well, I guess you must have told the officer you thought your foot was on the foot pedal of your sewing machine not your gas pedal!

You are so funny!! "Wait, let me take a picture of your patrol car before you give me a ticket!" I bet he's never heard that one before.

LOL - Very clever. I can't believe you got those ladies to pose like that. I bet they all had a good laugh reading this post. (And you are so lucky not to get a ticket!)
