Non-market Related Eye Candy!

Have you seen this?
Temecula Quilt Company is displaying
a collection of blue and white quilts.
Only second best to their red and white quilt
competition and show.
This one really strikes me... the stars are such an unexpected
surprise. I would not have thought of that.

I think that two colored quilts are very complex and unforgiving.
It takes a lot to make them work well and any little mistake...
you just can't hide it. I have a deep admiration for people who can
conquer two-colored quilts!
I have always wanted to make a black and white two-colored quilt with black
being the background color.
Maybe one day!
Since I have my Midwinter Reds and patterns... I guess I will start there!

I am winding down with my birthday "month"!
I have a sweet little bundle of fabric that came in the mail to me...

I just love the retro look and colors.
And it has a sweet little clock print in the bundle that
is just too cute. (I have a new obsession about collecting vintage
nightstand clocks).

Something else that came in the mail to me
... Quilty Fun by Lori Holt!
The book is just a must have and makes me feel better about not
making the row along when Ms. Bee In My Bonnet hosted it.

But have you seen this?
This group won't be released until March!

(photo borrowed from... well, you can see)

See, we don't have to go to Market to see new things...
doesn't that make you feel better?

I saw that quilt on the Temecula site, and fell totally in love! I like your clock fabric, too.

Too much pressure for me, so I'm glad there is a book!

Yes, this quilt is amazing! Although I fall even more in love with the quilt with the many stars in the middle and the outer border in picture #8. But honestly all the quilts are great.
Have a great no-market weekend, Hildy

Hahaha -- well, it's fun to see stuff online, but it's not quite like being there LOL. Looks like you have some fun new goodies. And that b&w quilt is a stunner!

Update - I found the clock fabric and ordered some in pink and the blue - Thanks again for sharing!

I saw the Temecula quilt on Pinterest. It is really beautiful. I also got the new book by Bee in my Bonnet. I wanted to do the row along but just didn't have the time. Hugs

Love two color quilts and yes, they can be very hard to do as you said...not forgiving of mistakes. I think I will try a red and cream some day in the future. Love the bloggers choice group Lori has and will have to watch for it. Thanks....

Hey Sinta, I LOVE that blue quilt too, only I think it would look even better in RED! Do you know the pattern name?

Hope you have a great weekend!

I have my copy of Quilty Fun too. Not sure where to start in that book!

My daughter's graduation quilt is two colors...it's still at the long arm quilters. I'm a little nervous about it but can't wait for it to come home.

I can't wait to get my own copy of Quilty Fun... so many possibilities.

Oh goodness...Christmas music already? I can't...not yet. I am a bit of a scrooge. Christmas is not my favorite holiday. I wish we could just stay in Fall all year long.
