Picture Proof

Wonderful Midwinter Red fabric #moda
(Photo from Fat Quarter Shop)

Wow, thanks for all of the comments to help me decide which quilt to make
with the Winter Reds from Minnick and Simpson!
I am sold...
on both!
I just have to do both of them! Everyone made good suggestions and had
good points about each quilt.
But Nantucket is going to be first and then on to Debonaire.
Which, I agree, is the best It's So Emma pattern to date!
Doesn't the photo above look so much better of Nantucket than
the photo on the pattern cover?
That's what sold me.

I left my camera cord behind today...
so I don't have a photo to show you of my Summer Wind project
that I am working on with Thelma at Cupcake n Daisies.
I love this quilt so much! Thelma's is looking great...
you can see her post today here.
I did get a lot done with mine over the weekend... I am trailing Thelma a little
but I have my stars done now also. I will show you tomorrow, promise!

On another note...
my house has gone up for sale.
It isn't really my house. I have been renting it for several years now.
I love it as much as the home we sold.
Yesterday my hubby said...
"did you see the photos of the house on the Internet"?
WHAT?
I have been so busy I didn't even think of that.

I knew that they came by and took photos when I wasn't home one day.
Honestly, I have been so crazy getting ready for my retreat etc and probably
had a little bit of denial going on too...
so last night I checked out the site to take a look
and I am mortified!
If you see the photos, which I hope you do not,
you can see my little messes here and there and
my sewing room... is, well, not pretty.
Honestly, it has been a bigger mess but
would you really want picture proof?
I sure wish I could go in there and delete them!

That IS a much better picture. But OH, how could they come by and take pictures of you house when you were not home??? That's not really fair :-(

I'm going to make that Nantucket quilt too, but I'm doing something different for the background color. What will you do about the house? Do you think you'll want to buy it or just find another rental house?

I failed to leave a comment about Midwinter Reds, which by the way, I love, too.

I made Debonaire in Yellow and Gray and it's a fabulous pattern.

Now you've got me thinking, as well.

We practically emptied our house and I staged it for photos. Big help. Sold it in six days. Best of luck...where are you moving to?

I do like this picture of Nantucket and look forward to seeing your versions of both quilts. I love Its Sew Emma patterns. I just finished the Deck- Ade the Halls quilt.

Good luck with the house situation.

Will you stay close to where you are... I know you love the lake and the mountains!

Sinta, if no one buys the house you don't have to move! I say cheers to your diabolical plan!

I can hardly wait to see your Summer Wind Stars, why don't you buy a camera cord to keep at the office?

Love the Midwinter Reds and bet both quilts will look great in those colors. Hope you are okay with house plans and will think good thoughts for you.

Why did they take pictures inside your house?

I think about you every time I drive down 11th St past your Grandma's home. I hope your husband is still doing well and that things are good for you.

Ok, I'm not fabric stalking you, I swear, but I have bought my FQ bundle and just a few charm packs, hexagons and a layer cake or two of Midwinter and plan to work on it soon. I saw that same picture on the FQS blog when they were featuring Minick & Simpson - and I couldn't find ANYWHERE where the name of that pattern was! Now that I see it on your blog I can easily tell it is Nantucket. I feel for that picture too and I plan to make that same quilt in Midwinter Reds. I know you will probably get started before me, so I look forward to any good tips and tricks and previews to ramp up my excitement even more!

I love the Nantucket quilt. It looks great in this picture. Definitely one that I can see Thelma making soon with her love for red! How can they come in your house when you're not home? Must be really different tenancy laws in the US to Australia. Are you going to buy your own house now?
