The Story Has a Twist

This week Road 2 California begins!
It is an event in Southern California that I try to attend
each year.
The quilt show is amazing and the shopping...
is fantastic... and if you take a class at the convention...
those are super fun also.

These are photos from last year...

Ms. Cupcake n Daisies had two quilts in the show!
I was thrilled to meet her there along with
Woohoo!
It was great having a little bit of time to walk around with them
and lunch too.

Here are a couple more photos of quilts that were
at the show!

And there was a special exhibit of vintage PINK quilts!
So sweet!!!

I did manage a few purchases for my souvenirs
and then there was a little side trip over to

Temecula Quilt Company... because 1,248
vendors at the show were just not enough!
So my plan is take a little road trip and go
there on Thursday- Saturday.
I am super excited to make an escape...
the only thing stopping me from my adventure now is
 a Jury Summons for tomorrow!!!
Please keep your fingers crossed that they don't pick me!

I will keep my fingers crossed for you. I'm jealous--I would love to go to the Road to California. I have a friend here who is going. My sister lives really close to Temecula, so I would even have a place to stay. Have fun! Post lots of pics on Instagram so I can live vicariously through you!

Road to California sounds super-fun so I hope jury duty doesn't get in your way.

When questioned just say....if the police arrested them they must be guilty....you will be off the jury.

Oh for Pete's sake, you are kidding me! I am not planning to go this year. I wish I could hook up with you. Have fun!!

I'd rather be at quilt shops than in a jury, too.

I hope your jury duty goes as my last one did: Call every night, and finally I was released without having to go in!! Keeping my fingers crossed!! And if you get to go, this is my first year to go to Road: I'd love to meet you! Email me (hlebrett at live dot com)and we could set up a time. I'll be there on Thurs. Hugs, H in Healdsburg

Oh, what bad timing! It sounds like you had so much fun last year. So far I've been summoned for jury duty twice and called up both times. My husband, who is older than I am, has never once received a summons. Go figure. I do hope you get to enjoy the show though!

Oh No! Surely a quilt show is a good enough excuse to not be picked??? If all else fails, do what Nancy says -- scream GUILTY LOL!!!

Here's hoping for NO jury summons and also hoping that you have a wonderful, safe trip. I look forward to seeing all your photos and purchases.

Oh I do hope you get to go! I was hoping to go this year but alas...as far as jury duty, you'll just have to explain you have more important things to do and hope the judge is a quilter.
