A Jolly Giveaway!

At the end of September and the beginning of last month the Fat Quarter Shop had
a little blog hop to share the news about a new pre-cut from Moda called
"Jolly Bars"!

I wanted to share my quilt again that I had made using the Jolly Bar.
It was the Atelier Collection  from 3 Sisters. I love the fall colors in this group.
A Jolly Bar is exclusive to Fat Quarter Shop. The reason I love this pre-cut is
that I always purchase 2 charm packs anyway... so a Jolly Bar measuring 5' x 10"
just makes good sense for a pre-cut.

So I made up this little pattern using half square triangles.
I made 12 HST's from 6, 2 1/2" squares each
piece of fabric and made it into this block.
I kept the extra 2 2 1/2" squares from the bar to use in the border.
This measures 62" square.

The  I know there must be a name for the block out there
but I wasn't using a pattern.

I am calling my quilt Riverbed.

I thought you might like to try out a Jolly Bar and so
I talked to the wonderful people at Fat Quarter Shop and
they agreed that a giveaway would be fun!
So what I we are going to give away is this Jolly Bar Quilt Kit called
Bird's Eye View which uses the Atelier fabrics.

So here is what you need to do to enter the giveaway....

leave me a comment using the word "jolly" in the sentence.

I will keep the giveaway open through Sunday November 9th
and announce the winner on Monday November 10th.

To hear about Jolly Bars directly from Kim Jolly... click on this link for
her You Tube video about it.

Good luck!
