I can't believe it's Wednesday already!
Over the weekend I attended a baby shower
for my stepson's significant other, Cara.
The baby is due in just 6 weeks!
It was a fun afternoon.
The decorations were all so adorable.
The theme was woodland animals.
As you can see.
I also finished my second quilt for the year...
it started out like this.
I used my stash only for this quilt.
The pattern is Vintage by A Quilting Life.
I just loved each of these sweet blocks.
Here is the finished quilt!
Another sample quilt I made for Fat Quarter Shop
is now up on their site and
available as a kit.
The fabrics were fun and girlie.
( I am hoping for Cara to have a little girl...
but we won't find out until she... or he arrives).
If it's a boy... well, this would make a good lap quilt for... me!
9 friends stopped by to chat:
Either way, the baby is going to be
blessed with a lovely quilt.
Beautiful baby quilt.
Beautiful quilts, your Vintage one and the sampler kit!
I love your Vintage quilt. The fabrics are perfect for it.
I love both quilts. The colors in the Vintage quilt are so inviting and it is great that you used your stash to make such a lovely quilt.
Ooooh, a baby shower! I love baby showers! Fun and pretty quilts too!
I have discovered that babies love 'color' the brighter the better--and it doesn't matter if it is a boy or girl--color is color to them!!
Great quilts so far and I see that you are having fun making them--

That's the spirit, it it's a boy, you get this quilt. And get to make another. Right? So it's a Win-win. I know my little grandson is so adorable - he's five now. And what a whirlwind. Either way, boy or girl they are just precious.
Beautiful quilts as always, I love the soft colors you used in the vintage quilt.
