Sew Along, Caught Up and Done!

The quilt of a thousand steps actually didn't take
as long as I had thought it would!

(Lotti is always trying to get in the picture)

I enjoyed the journey very much and it was
even  more delightful to be sewing along with Nicole
at Sisters Choice blog... I think
it made the whole process that much easier.

I loved the original quilt made with Rainy Days fabrics...
and it had been my intent to use my bundle of that group.
I ended up going with Petal Pushers but added a
few fun polka dots and stripes to add
a little attitude.

I learned a few new techniques in the
process of making Crop Circles.
I think I have a good handle on
machine applique now..
by the time I got to the last circle I think
I really got the hang of it! ha

I am super happy with this pattern. I
always love Dresden blocks... but I had never tackled this
style of Dresden before.
Now I have!
I particularly like the side borders.
Carrie always adds a nice little
 element to her designs.

Nicole is posting about her Crop Circles quilt today... be sure to go have
a look. Hildy and Bea were also sewing along with us but they were
using a different pattern. One by Jen Kingwell.
Nicole has used Jen's fabric to make her Crop Circles.
The fabric line is gorgeous.
Which is why I will soon be making a quilt using that group!
Here is a link to the free
 pattern using her fabrics!

Love your quilt it's so beautiful! I'm behind with my Green tea and Sweet Beans quilt because I couldn't wait and started (and almost finished) the Schnibbles pattern for June and July (yep, both are almost done). And I've caught up on a few other sew-alongs. But now Jen's quilt is calling m name again:-)

Hi Sinta,
I have a question about the Tiled Bloom quilt and the template that came with the pattern ?
If you have time I would love to chat with you about it :-D

This is beautiful! It looks like it's vintage, but also very modern. And that is a LOT of applique!
