Binding Troubles

Okay, last weekend I used this binding tool that I had bought a couple years ago...

but I was afraid to try it out.

I have never been happy with how I finish off
of the binding on quilts so, since

I needed to get the binding on the wedding
quilt for my son...
I decided it was now or never!

I followed this video for moral support.
But the ruler has clear instructions on it too.

I did it right... and on the first try!
I was just so darn proud of myself!

I was such a scare-dy cat. What a dork! It was so easy.

I am going to try and keep myself out of the sewing room this weekend...
and focus on "chores" and if it stops raining... I will do some planting.

But...
I was looking at this bundle that just came out by Verna Mosquera.

I love it and will be dreaming about Halloween quilts that
can be made with it!

I love that tool!!!!!! I went by the MSQC's you tube and I ordered their new one for smaller projects because I make placemats and mug rugs. MSQC and FQS are two of my fav places to shop.

For some reasons I never never had problems with my bindings. Don't know why because I made all the other and then some more mistakes with my projects but my binding always works:-)
The Halloween bundle looks great and while I can't bring myself yet to make xmas quilts Halloween quilts are always on my list.

Great tool!! I follow the MSQC video also ... but I can never remember between bindings how to do it, so I always watch the video EVERY TIME I do a binding.

Glad to hear the binding went on smooth and way to go!!! If we were to stop looking at all this new fabrics and media, we might not do any kind of sewing some day...not!!!! I couldn't do that :(((

I really love the fat quarter bundle too. I have been trying to think of the perfect quilt ever since I saw it. If you find something please share!

It's a great feeling when we can conquer our quilting foes. I had to wrangle some binding corners last night. That Verna bundle is beautiful!
