This is the cutest block setting I have ever seen! I love the extra little blocks in
the border too! This one is a grand finish from
Carol at Brown Quilts! Congratulations to you Carol!!!
Nicole at Sister's Choice finished her last block of the Peace on Earth BOM that she has been working on!
It is so exciting to get to this point!
Next is this adorable embroidery BOM from
Celine at Esprit Patch..
I actually finished my #11 block since I didn't do anything at all last weekend
(in the sewing room).
Then I just had to go ahead and make block #12. I was picking up momentum.
And when I got done with that... I thought I might as well
lay the blocks out and see what kind of setting I can come up with.
It kind of spoke to me and this is what I cam up with.
I'm calling it Starlite Garden.
Somewhere along the line I lost track of my blocks and I had made one of the blocks
twice.
I took the one block that looked more like a star than a flower
and used that for the center.

I like square quilts so I played around and used my left over fabrics and this
is the final product! I did buy a yard of the border fabric a few weeks ago.
It had been on sale at FQS and it was suppose to be for a border on an older Schnibbles
that we did, "George". George is going to have to wait... 'cause this
project needed it.
I feel extra good about getting my 2011 DM BOM quilt done because...
the next one starts NOW!
Did you sign up for it?
I forgot all about the line of fabric we are using for this year's Designer Mystery.
It's Vintage Modern. Woohoo!
Now, if I can really be on top of it. I am going to make two blocks for each month.
Maybe the second set will be a patriotic theme.
Or maybe Christmas?

I love the way you set yours! That was such a fun quilt...I can't wait for the new one to start!
Hey Sinta! Just got back home last night from vacationing in Florida, so I'm catching up! I agree with you...that first quilt is so adorable and I love how she added those little blocks in the corners. And your DM BOM 2011 quilt turned out awesome. I did sign up for the 2012 one...it will be my very first BOM and I am looking forward to it...especially since it's using Vintage Modern. I can't wait!
Chat soon!
XOXO,
Cyndi
Very cute! I love the fabric choice!
It's gorgeous! And woohooo for June! I hope to keep up with the 2012 BOM this year and maybe make 2 blocks at a time. We'll see how it goes.
Yours turned out great and the first one is adorable! I love the colors on all of them. I have never done a BOM because I am so new at quilting...one day! Have a great day!!
Your quilt is beautiful, Sinta! I just realized I let you down - I'm so sorry - I completely forgot to do what I promised I would do. Please forgive me.
Love your quilt Sinta, and great work to the other Rehab girls. Life has just been out of whack here for a few weeks....this week it's the sewing room for me and back to Rehab. Great job everyone!
I really like your quilt top. I have no complete blocks to share this week but a couple are very close to completion. The new block of the month you shared at the end of your post is so tempting. I think I better focus on the Rehab and finish what I have started. The bridesmaid dresses all fit perfectly, now for the finishing.
Sinta, Congratulations on the great finish, I just love your setting for that BOM! Everyone surely will copy your idea, it's just perfect. I'm so happy you had such a productive weekend!
I like your setting for the Designer Mystery blocks. I like Carol's too which is good because I bought that finishing kit. One of these days I'll get it together and actually get some BOM blocks done.
love you blocks and quilta
I absolutely love your Starlite Garden...what a wonderful idea for a setting!
Your setting is perfect! Beautiful quilt!
Congrats on getting your BOM complete. Keep up the good work :)
I really like your quilt- and Carol's as well! I didn't sign up for the new one- I still need to finish the 2009 one..... I did get all the blocks finished, but then it just stopped there....
It is so fun to see two finished quilt tops from Carol and Sinta. They are both so pretty but so different. Great job!
I'm interested in seeing Nicole's quilt top since we are both working on finishing the 2008 Designer Mystery Quilt. I didn't get a chance to sew this weekend, but will today.
That's also a very cute block from Celine.
I love the setting you used! It really makes the quilt yours.
