Here is what I am giving away from my stash today.
I have a few little mini charms I have been saving along with a
Jo Morton book.
Just leave me a comment... telling me... let's see..
what your favorite place to attend quilt shows,
and I will pick a winner on Tuesday!
I love going to the one in Onterio CA. called
I miss a year hear and there but I get to it as often as I can.
I really like the Pacific International Quilt Show in Santa Clara Ca. also.
It's in October... and it seems that there is so much going on in October
that I rarely go to that one.
The link will take you to a You Tube video of the quilts from the 2011 show I thought you might enjoy!
I had a house full for brunch today...
I got a photo of the table before the third quiche made it out of the oven
(and before spoons were placed on the table)...
but by the time the quiche was on the table people arrived
and I never saw my camera again!
my menu:
artichoke quiche
caramelized onions, bacon and mushroom quiche
broccoli and bacon quiche
poppy seed muffins
blueberry muffins
carpese salad with balsamic vinegar dressing
sliced bananas and strawberries
assorted juices
It would have been so nice if you were here to join us!

While I always attend our local quilt show in Winnipeg, Manitoba, it was a real highlight to attend the International Quilt Show in Houston.
I don't know of a quilt show place that isn't fun. I think the last BIG show was three years ago at the MidAtlantic show in VA. I hear so much about Road to California but never been...and I'm originally from California!
I have not yet had the pleasure of attending a quilt show yet since I have only just recently become interested in quilting but it is on my bucket list to attend this year. I get soooo much inspiration from your blog. Thank you for sharing everything that you do.
any place would be if i could afford to go to one
There aren't too many in Maine, unfortunately. There is the state quilt show in July. Last year I went to Raleigh, NC to the Sewing and Quilt Expo just to take a class from Lisa Bongean...well, and to visit my brother!
I like the quilt show in St. Paul and in Duluth. But my favorite is our guild's quilt show every other year!!
Nice give away. I don't have a chance to get to too many quilt shows but did manage to get to one in Amerest Nove Scotia last year. It was great and had a chance to get to a fabric store there also.. Looks like a great menu for brunch.
I can't travel far - but I always take in the local guilds' shows.
I really want to make it to the AQS show in Des Moines Iowa this fall!
I like going to the Indiana Heritage Quilt and it is this week and the Cincinnati Quilt Show in April.
I like going to the Indiana Heritage Quilt and it is this week and the Cincinnati Quilt Show in April.
I love PIQF and look forward to it every year. The quilts are always so wonderful and I get to see friends that I only see at the show.
I have wanted that Jo Morton book for sooo long! Love your table but what catches my eye - the quilt underneath! The only quilt show I've been to is one about 45 minutes away in E'town, KY, and I simply love all the quilts (and vendors). While I do live in KY, it is quite a drive to The Paducah Quilt Show but that is definitely on my list on day!
I used to go to the Canberra Craft and Quilt Fair in my hometown in Australia every year. Now I've moved to Montreal I'm going to have to find some new ones to attend!
I've never been to a quilt show; I'm sure it would be fun! I am fairly new to quilting and have only recently discovered Jo Morton...I would love to win her book. Thanks for the chance at your lovely giveaway.
My mouth is watering after reading your menu, and what a lovely setting. I have attended the AQS show in Paducah Ky and hope to some day go to the show held in Sisters, Oregon.
Your brunch looks terrific!
My favorite quilt show is the one in Madison, WI. It's sponsored by Nancy's Notions, and is the perfect size - large enough to get lots of good vendors and a very nice show, but not so large that there are huge crowds. It's also only an hour away. I also like the show in Rosemont, IL (Chicago), but it's a much larger show, and much more crowded. I'd love to go to Road to California some year - it sounds great.
Thanks for the giveaway chance.
I went to the Road to Califoria - it was very nice. Every quilt show I have been to has been wonderful but I enjoy seeing what the 4-H kids are sewing up at local fairs.
Oooh nice giveaway! I think any quilt show is a good one to go to, the more the merrier :)
OOOh, that table looks yummy! Bet it was enjoyed.
Okay, my funnest trips is always the same...every year we go to Lancaster,PA for the large quilt show and shop, shop, shop till we can't do anymore. I am leaving to go in mid March and can't wait.
Gail
We are so lucky to have an AQS show in Grand Rapids. I love it!!
I've never been to a quilt show, I'm sure it's fun. The only quilt show type thing I've seen is the quilts at the AZ State Fair.
I've been to many local quilt shows put on by quilt guilds here in Missouri and have enjoyed them all. The only big show I've attended was the Sisters Outdoor show in Oregon. It was amazing!
My favorite quilt show is Hershey, Pa. I have always enjoyed the quilts they display.
NW quilting expo in beautiful Portland, Oregon!
NW quilting expo in beautiful Portland, Oregon!
My favorite quilt show is also Road 2 California...love the classes offered and LOVE the vendors! For the last two years I've been going up to PIQS with my guild on a chartered bus....not only do we have a great time at the quilt show but the bus trip is a hoot!
I usually attend the Des Moines, IA quilt show because it is closest to me. But heart really wants to go to the Sisters show in Oregon!
I would love to go to the Road to California show someday but for now I enjoy my local quilts show in Auburn and Grass Valley California
I love Quilt Odyssey in Hershey, Pennsylvania. I make it a point to go every year.
I have yet to attend a quilt show because there aren't any that I know of in my area. But one day I hope to be able to go to one.
Oh I would have loved to attend your brunch too! :) It sounds delicious! I haven't been to a quilt show in years~ well, since I went to the outdoor show at Sisters, OR. That one was fabulous. ;-)
I try to go to the show at Sauder Farm at Archbold, Ohio every year. Have never been to a real big show, but would like to do that now that I am retired.
NW Quilting Expo in Portland, OR and Mid Valley Quilt Guild show in Rickreal, OR
I haven't been to many quilt shows. I am looking forward to the one next week in Lancaster, PA. However, it is my first time attending.
The best show I have ever been to was the Pacific International in Santa Clara. I don't think my wallet would agree though, it sure did take a beating. My second favorite is Road to California, I try not to miss that one when it comes around.
Quiche sounds delicious!
I think all shows are great...just to think I am going to the Lancaster show the 16th!!
Hmm, up until now, I would have said that my favorite place to attend a quilt show was Honolulu Hawaii because It was my guild's show and also, of course, because it was Hawaii!!! But now my new place to attend a show is my new home here in Hampton Roads, VA and the Midatlantic Quilt Fest. It was last week and there were some extraordinary quilts there.
Treated myself to the Road 2 California show area years ago--thoroughly enjoyed it.
Yummy looking brunch--I could swear I started smelling the quiche just looking at the photo! I've only been to a couple very small local quilt shows, but would love to go to any of them. The one in Japan looks particularly intriguing to me, but I'd be happy going to any of them outside of my area.
I loved the shows in Knoxville, but they are not there anymore. I would love to go to Paducah or Houston... Or the sisters show in Oregon .
Love to go to the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Show in Hampton, VA! So inspiring.... And your brunch table looks wonderful and your menu yummy! How long would it take to get there from Virgina ?!!
Today I went to the New Jersey Quiltfest, I drove 2 hrs by myself and was able to listen to music I liked, WOW! It wasn't too big or too small, perfect. Beautiful quilts, a lot of vendors with many varied quilting related things. They had 3 different raffle quilts that were drop dead gorgeous. I've been to the Vermont Quilt show about 15 yrs ago and had a wonderful time, it was a 3 day guild bus trip. It was enormous, I was much younger and it was so big. Thanks for the generous giveaway, I love Jo Morton's quilts. ;->
The only quilt shows I have been to are local ones put on by quilt guilds. One is put on by the Capital Quilters every other year in April and the other one is every year in Oct. It is put on by the Cocheco Quilt Guild.
I've never been to a really big show, they are all still on my bucket list. But I am the chairman for our show here in Pensacola next April, it's going to be mighty fine :).
Well, I'd have to say the Houston show, thought it's been several years since I attended that amazing show. It's overwhelming, but the quilts......!!!!!! Carol in Texas
HI!Sounds great;but not many in Montana! Thanks for sharing a neat Giveaway!
msstitcher1948@yahoo.com
I like to go to Quiltfest in Jacksonville, Florida. I haven't been to very many quilt shows and would like to go to a larger show in the near future. Thanks for sharing your stash.
I try to go to all our local shows. We did get to Knoxville the last year it was there....Only big show I have attended
I haven't attended to very many quilts shws as of yet! But I do love the show that our very own guilds has every two years. Thanks for the chance to win, keeping my fingers crossed. ( and toes also).
I've attended National quilt shows in Chicago, Nashville, and Paducah. My favorite place is Paducah!!! Although I would love to go to Houston sometime. That would round out my Quilt show prowess :-)
I love the Springville Museum of Art quilt show held each summer in Utah. Lovely quilts!
Any where I can see beautiful quilts I am happy, but I hope to go to the big show in Houston this year
Well, I'd LOVE to attend quilt shows in say ... Houston or Japan but since that won't be happening any time soon, I'm happy to attend the annual Quilt Guild show in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan every October.
I was lucky enough to go to International Quilt Festival in Houston in 2003 & 2004 then I moved. I say every year I'm going back but I haven't made it yet. Thanks for a fun giveaway.
I have been to 2 quilt shows. Our guild and Minnesota Quilters last year. I liked them both very much for different reasons!
I live on an island and we have our local Eisteddfod which we're preparing for this week. I have been to the Festival of Quilts once in the UK and one in france last year.
Oh I wish I'd have a number of shows to choose from... I've only been to one and that was in Houston last fall. But that was a trip of my life since I flew all the way from Sweden all by myself. It was just me and my rental car for twelve days. I had never been away from my husband and three kids for that long...
I'm in the UK so I'd choose Malvern - it's small enough to be friendly and the setting of the Malvern Hills is fantastic!
I am in TN and really enjoyed the AQS here in Nashville. It has moved so now I guess going to Paducah is the hi-lite. I just love visiting and seeing all the beautiful quilts and getting all the energy and inspiration from the quilt show that is not to forget all the yummy venders...
I love going to the quilt shows in tampa Florida. I live in a small town and there are never any quilt shows. Thank you for the chance.
Any place close to home! This weekend is the Indiana Heritage quilt show in Bloomington IN. Yep I'll be there! Thanks for a chance to win.
Mid Atlantic show just last week in Virginia. There were a lot of beautiful quilts there but the attendance was way down it seemed.
I love to go to the quilt show in Augusta, Maine.
It is at the end of July and it is wonderful!
Thanks for the giveaway!
That's a really nice table setup and looks like a delicious menu! I just went to the Mid-Atlantic Quilt Festival in Hampton, Va. I try to get there every year. I'd love to make it to Houston one year, but it's so very far away, I don't know when that will happen. Thanks for the giveaway!
Will be going to the New England Quilt Festival in April. Those mini's look really cute! Thank you for the giveaway.
Such a generous Giveaway. I love to go to Paducah. It is my favorite. Hugs
I enjoy any quilt show I manage to get to. thanks for such a great giveaway and I always enjoy your blog and projects.
I don't travel much anymore, but I live in Houston - so that's lucky for me. Your buffet spread looks delicious and a lot of work!
I usually attend Quiltfest in New Jersey - in fact, it was held this past weekend and I went on Saturday!
I also LOVE the Road to CA but the Hemet Quilt Show has my heart!! Love EVERYTHING about that show!! Each year that show gets better and better and the guild at Hemet really works hard to put on a great show! And they are so NICE!
Thanks so much for the chance to win your wonderful give awaY!
Paulette
My favorite is Road, but the one in Long Beach is also fun.
I'm not sure that I have a favorite place to attend a quilt show. They are all my favorites!!
My favorite show is the national quilt show in Paducah. I have been lucky enough to go several times. One of my favorite things at the show was the Friday night performance by Ricky Timms.
Love any quilt show I can get to but my favs are AQS in Paducah and Mountain Quiltfest in TN. Maybe when I retire I can get to Road to California but it will be a Long Road for this southern gasl!
I have never been to a quilt show... some day I will!
Your table looks lovely !!
I unfortunately haven't been able to make it to a quilt show yet.
Between the job and kids and living in the middle of nowhere....:(!! I have high hopes of getting there someday though and the road to california is right at the top of my list !!!
I love going to Paducah, Ky and Houston, Tx. Some friends a nd I go to Paducah every year. We only go to Houston once in a blue moon. Would love to win the Jo Morton book.
My very favorite quilt show, hands down, no tie, is the Aurora Colony show every October. It has more old/antique quilts than any other I've seen and is held in and on the museum grounds. They have an old log cabin where we get coffee or juice and cookies and they have activities to help keep the little ones entertained between buildings. I like quilt shows in general but this one is way way way at the top of my list.
Your brunch menu looks so yummy. I'm not close enough for any of the big shows but do enjoy the local ones I attend.
I love the IQS show in Cincinnati, Ohio. It is in my hometown, so very convenient. I probably would love them all...if I could just get to them! soardkgatfusedotnet
Since I live just north of San Francisco I have only been able to attend the Santa Clara show, really liked it. Am headed to the Sacramento one this month to see what they have to offer. Wasn't able to go to Santa Clara this year as we went to Pleasanton for a fly fishing show, so instead I checked out the quilt shops in Livermore (very cute, really liked how they displayed everything) and the one in Danville, much smaller not a lot of display area. Good thing we had recently gotten a new little SUV, the dually wouldn't of fit in their parking lot.
Would love to win your DST for today.

I'd love to attend a quilt show, especially the Road to California one! Being in GA, I don't think it is likely that I'll get to that one any time soon. I have been to the Sewing and Quilting Expo in Atl a few years ago. Loved it!
I haven't attended many quilt shows but did enjoy the one at the fair grounds near our home. I am alway so inspired by seeing completed projects, I will have to try to attend more local shows in the future.
What a great giveaway! I absolutely love your blog and all that you share! Fort Dodge, Iowa has a fantastic quilt show every other year in the fall. I always love to go to it.
Last week I went to a local quilt show and the best show I`ve been was in Sitges,Barcelona and this year I couldn´t go
I go to my local guild show every other year. I'd like to go to a really big show but I'm not sure I could take the crowds!
I have never been to a quilt show but I am saving up for Quiltcon 2015
My favourite place to go to a quilt show would be... anywhere! I've never been to one. :-( Linda x
