Sun and Sunflowers: DST Giveaway Day #7

We made it through the week...
and I hope we all have a wonderful weekend ahead of us.
I am, as you know, excited about daylight savings time to begin.
We are within 48 hours of DST!
Winter can stay around for a while...
I just want more light in the evening...
I think that Arizona and Hawaii are the two states that
don't observe DST.

Sun and sunflowers go together...
Earlier this week I posted my little
quilt  for grand baby #2... arriving soon!

Here is grand baby Evie's quilt from last year.
I love this pattern...
so I thought for my last DST
(De Stashing Time) giveaway
today I would
offer the pattern and a charm pack to make the sunflowers.

I was at my LQS and they had one last copy of the pattern
there so I got it for our giveaway.
I have had this charm pack of Urban Cowgirl and
was going to make another quilt from this pattern with it...
but I am going to share it with you.

Just leave me a comment...
tell me what your most recent fabric purchase was
and I will pick a winner on Sunday.
Which is daylight savings time!

The winner of DST Giveaway Day #5

Nope, I don't do Pinterest. I barely have time to read my emails and respond to comments lately. But I hear there are some beautiful things to see on Pinterest.

I love your sunflower quilts! I would love to win the pattern. My most recent purchase was some of Denyse Schmidt's new collection at Joanns.

JoAnne said...

My most recent fabric purchase was from JoAnn's yesterday--their premium quilting fabric is not currently on sale, so I was able to use a 50% off coupon. $12.99 a yard for fabric? At JoAnne? I can only afford it with the coupon. They had a fun blue bird toile that will be used as a backing. Yes, Arizona and Hawaii don't do daylight savings time. (I've lived in both places.) I think that Indiana doesn't, either, or else it just started in the past year or two.

My most recent fabric purchase wasn't for a quilt. My 3 y-o DGS wants me to make him clothes, too, so DD and I took him to Fabric Depot. He asked for dinosaur fabric and he found an awesome print. Then he decided he also wanted a pirate shirt and found a great print for that and pirate buttons to go with it. Then I found a stripe to make shorts to go with the pirate shirt. He just couldn't understand why, after we had the fabrics cut, we left the WHOLE BOLT in the store!
