Words and A Couple of Kittens

Although I had some sewing time over the weekend...
as you could see in my last post, I did also have Evie time too!
She is pretty excited about little kittens!

(boy)
And amazingly, they are so good with her...
and despite the photos, she is really gentle with them too.
(looks like we finally found a way to keep them still)

(girl)
We still haven't come to an agreement on the names.
I'm holding my ground to NOT name them
after two fish.
Animated fish.
I'm not even going to write the names...
I know you can guess.
I had wanted  Chloe and  Simon
or
Clover and Oliver.
I was thinking something English... along with the new Prince being named.
But simpler.

So, the photos in yesterday's post were a mixture of
blocks I was catching up on from my Bees Knees Quilting bee.
I was happy to catch up a bit there!
Also, a little glimpse of a new Schnibbles... yes, that's right...
I am trying to squeak in under the wire with that!
Also, the new project... that's when Evie showed up with her mom.
We wanted to work on making a Weekender Bag.
There was one person who guessed right on that!!!
Instead of making our own piping though, we both found vintage piping to use.
Yeah!
We have a trip coming up on Friday... going to the Long Beach
International Quilt Show!
It's going to be so much fun!
Just my DIL and me!
Oh, and my LAQ too!

The kitties are so cute, but they need names. I'm not really good at that, most of my cats are named for what they look like; Buff, Whitey, Holstein, Leonard (my Dad)!

Kitty pictures, yeah, you're the best, thanks:-) My cats names are Merlin and Lara but I think Lucy and Linus really cool, too.
Can't wait for the parade and the new pattern so excited!
Enjoy your trip and have a great time:-)

Oh my goodness! A little girl and kittens--there is absolutely nothing as cute in the whole world. I nearly squealed with delight, but was able to restrain myself, barely!

Sinta, your little Evie is just a doll! And growing like a weed, too. The kitties are cute, too.

Looks like you've been up to your nostrils in fabrics and threads. Lovely work, my friend, lovely work you do!

big hugs,

Becky

You are the best grandma! I bet she loves those kittens. I let my daughter name our foster kittens. Sparkle, Jewelry, Diamond, Rosy, Posy and the mommy cat is called "Glowy" because her yellow eyes glow in the dark as she hides under the bed from us (solid black cat). Someone's future husband has it cut out for him!
