Doesn't Seem Right

May 1st came and went.
There was no AYOS parade.
I know it felt so wrong to me...
and it might have felt wrong to a lot of you also!

PINK PINCUSHION

After Carrie moved on to work for Moda...
and we had made a large percentage of her patterns...
it seemed that it would be easy enough to
transition and include other small quilt patterns into our
monthly sew along.
There has been a lot of fun new pattern designs to play with
that were
1, small and
2. made by fun designers

Perfect! That's all we needed!
But somehow, especially after making "Sample"...
I realized that
I  really missed Miss Rosie's patterns.
Bottom line is...
I  am not going to be able to keep up with our group any longer.
I am so sorry to say that!

Back in 2008
Sherri and I came up with the idea of starting a Schnibbles
Sew Along.

(2008?!? That's the better part of 7 years)!

We have been having a nice long run and
I am always so inspired by what our AYOS group

Thank you all so much for that! But mostly thank you for your
bloggy friendship!
I know you all are always so  supportive... I hate to let you down.

But... there is a light at the end of the tunnel for me.
Carrie has special tins coming out in August with
new patterns and a new precut size to make
those patterns with.
That's good news, right?

In the meantime... I have a few ideas.

One of them is to go back to my
 Block of the Month Rehab.
(BOM Rehab)
It was a monthly check in kind of thing that was on the same
format as our Schnibbles parade.

I have a lot of BOM's to catch up with still...
and that includes Farm Girl Vintage blocks for
Farm Girl Friday's!
I wanted to go back this week and reminisce over some of our
AYOS blogger's and look at the "photo album" of our
Schnibbles quilts.

Today I would like to share this one with you...
She was one of the first bloggers I  followed and one of our original
group members. Check out the link to see her quilts from
2008. I am still in awe of her talent.

I will share another link tomorrow...
and some more newsie news!

Oh, Sinta!! I totally understand and agree 100%!! I have so enjoyed being involved with this lovely group of talented fun ladies!! I am so glad I got to know you! Thank you so much for all the work it took all these years to keep our group going! I know time changes things, but I'm a little sad about his anyway! Please keep in touch with us all on your blog! So sad when things end but that's just part of life isn't it. Like a favorite long-running TV show that ends, nooo, say it ain't so. I have loved Another Year of Schnibbles. I made so many Schnibbles quilts and loved every minute of it. Lately I've been falling off the Schnibbles wagon as there are so many things I want to sew, just like you. I too have signed up for the Frivoles club and can't wait, I'm so into Moda tin boxes and pre-cuts. I'm also doing Farm Girl Friday's. I'll be looking what you will be surprising us with next.

That's really sad,sad news but I understand! Thanks to you and Sherri for hosting these awesome parades each month it was always so much fun:-) But you're right the Schnibbles parade wasn't the same without the Miss Rosie patterns they're always, always great! And there're still some Miss Rosie patterns I didn't made yet so perhaps I'll just do them myself (and send you and Sherri pics). Now I'm all ears for the new projects you have in mind! PS: I'm still not sold to the new precuts. But do you know if the patterns will be available seperate, too?

I got started late in AYOS. Before I joined in the fun, I always enjoyed seeing what fabrics everyone selected for their Schnibbles. Sad to see the club go, but understand. Thanks to both you and Sherri for doing AYOS. I am sure it took lots of time for both of you. Can't wait to see what news things you are planning

Like everyone else, I will really miss the monthly fun. I completely understand why it is not possible, but it is sad to see it come to an end. I will look forward to what else you have in mind, Sinta. Thank you for all of the hard work you have done in the past years.

Kudos to you and Sherri for carrying it this long. It was super fun seeing all the ways the pattern evolved. I have many of my schnibbles decorating my house and love them all.
I LOVE you BOM re-hab. When you first ran it I was able to delve into my old forgotten BOMs. Definitely look forward to some more inspiration. And... I hear a quilt along is in play. looking forward to that too!!!

I only participated for a couple of years and thoroughly enjoyed myself.

You had a great run with huge success.

All good things must come to an end. :-)
