Halloween Quilt, Full Moon and Something Brewing

Yesterday my quilting circle met at the LQS. It's always nice to see everybody
and have some show and tell.

Trizzle trazzel trezzel trone... time for this one to come home!
That was the spell Sammie said and wha-la... her quilt come back from
the quilters! Just in time. Isn't it gorgeous?
She used the Gastlies fabric for the backing!
Note to self: put this on to-do list.
(I think I'm on page 27 now)

I had to snap a picture of the October moon last night as I was
driving home from work.
My little camera doesn't quite capture the colors, but who doesn't love a full moon?

New fabric arrived for my birthday gifts!
I got some cash here and there and put it towards something
I have been lusting for... the Going Coastal line
and waiting for it to come out... and finally got my hands on some!
It was hard to find a fat quarter bundle but I found it at Sew Fabulous Quilt Shop.
Yeah.

And this lovely collection was another birthday gift from
Cyndi via FQS. I am overwhelmed by Cyndi's generosity. I just love this
group of fabrics... and I love the vintage yellow color and the greys!
I just want to push everything else I am working on
to the side and brew up something here!!!
I'm excited to play with the Cluck Cluck Sew pattern too!
I feel spoiled rotten! Thank you so much Cyndi!
Now I wonder if I can actually get something done at that retreat this weekend?
Maybe I need a spell for that!

Hope you had a wonderful birthday! I love all your pretty gifts. I've been really close to ordering some of the Going Coastal fabrics. And now that I've seen all the yellow and gray fabrics, I think I may need some of those, too. :-) You're killin' me.

What super fun! And what a darling quilt that was shown off -- love it! I, too, have fallen in love with the yellow and grey combination. Enjoy it! :)

I love the Halloween quilt, too - I just got mine put together and was thinking of putting Ghastlies on the back, also! It was a fun quilt to make, although quite time consuming. Congratulations to your friend for getting it done AND quilted!

I ordered the pattern for the Halloween yesterday. I fell in love with it as soon as I came across the pattern. I love sitting down in the evening and doing a bit of stitching. Plus, Halloween is a favorite time of the year for us.

I made that one too! It's on my wall right now. Wish I'd thought to put the Ghastlies on the back - that would have been so perfect. It actually went rather quickly, I used #12 black pearl cotton instead of floss. Lovely to work with.

Happy belated birthday!
