Such a cool quilt. I'm a Brit living in Oz and would love to curl up under a little slice of home.

Sooo Kyoot! I've been obsessed with flag quilts for the holiday recently and this is fantastic! Would be such fun to make with my quilty buddy. Her Grandmother, whom she was very close to was a Brit. As a young nurse my friend had the opportunity to stay with family and work in England. It would bring back such special memories for her as a remembrance of her Grandmother & her time in the Isles. In fact, we now have the cutest little Brit nurse who works in surgery with us! She'd be thinking Fish n' Chips for sure if she saw this!

King George died in 1952 making Elizabeth the reigning monarch, but the actual coronation was in 1953. I am not usually a person to remember dates, but I do remember this because it was the year I was born...I would love to make a Jubilee quilt and would love the pattern.
