No Sewing Here

All those plans I had and projects I thought I
wanted to do...
got put on the back burner.
My two sons that were on a 70 mile hike in
the high country of Sierra National Forest...
(Pacific Crest Trail/John Muir Trail)
finished their trip 2 days early.
So I got to spend time with
family... and since I have no
photos to share of my own today...
I thought I could share some of their pictures of the trip
with you.

It's such beautiful country.

Elevations were as high as 12,000 feet.

Which means it was super cold at night...
and no camp fires are allowed.

Finally some flat ground at the end of the trip.
70 miles ~ 5 1/2 days

Oh, and I adopted not one,
 but two kittens over the
weekend also!

photos coming soon...
if I can get them to be still long enough!

Wow. Just Wow. That is beautiful land. What a way to spend your time! You might miss the sewing but time with family s priceless and in that setting! Wow.
This has the month of adoptions! My Penny arrived just over a week and a half ago and I just went to the dentist where he told me that last week he had adopted a 1 yr old pup. Good times all around! Good luck with your two new babies!

Wow! I loved seeing the photos--that must be amazing to not only do the hike & the camping (I'd have collapsed two miles in, LOL) but the scenery--wow!
