A Tree to Trim... but Sneaking in Sewing Too

Last weekend I put up decorations but now it's time to trim the tree.
Unfortunately I took a look at my Pinterest board for
Happy Holidays
... and I am wondering why I just didn't get started on this last January!

On the other hand...
I couldn't help myself here...

After much deliberation...
I picked out a new project to embark on!
I fell in love with this pattern when I saw it on Craftsy.
Then I discovered it was a "A Quilting Life" pattern!
I ended up going into my own stash to pull fabrics that I
thought would give me a "Vintage" vibe. I think I might look for a little
more green... but I am anxious to at least get this cut out over the weekend.

Now that I am done with my

111 Christmas cards...

and I have my AYOS project done
and Sail Away is completed...
I am ready for a new project!

Lotti is such a busy kitty! She has to inspect
everything during my photo shoot!

I am tempted to work on a little something Christmassy
over the weekend also...

What are your plans?

Hey Sinta! A Quilting Life patterns are awesome! I can't wait to get started on Mini Shine :-) My copy is on its way in the mail :-) Your Sail Away makes me want to make one for myself :-) This weekend I'll be trimming the tree and hopefully doing some binding.

Celebrated our 38th wedding anniversary today, bought our tree, went out for lunch. How can it be that Christmas is only 20 days away? We will decorate the tree this weekend and I'll try to get a jump start on wrapping gifts. Every year the holiday just creeps up on me faster! Love how you sneak in some sewing time, I try, not very successful this time of year.

Love your Sail Away quilt and that your kitty is helping you (love cats).
I'm working on my Mini Shine (already have all cut and the quarter-square triangles made) perhaps a bit cross-stitching and then I'm dying to make the Mini Ornaments Camille made for the bernina site. Hope I'll get everything done:-)
Have a wonderful weekend!

Oh Sinta, I loved seeing the quilt splayed out on the swing, the that oh so familiar landscape behind it! 111 cards? Oh mercy!! I did a few, and will only send a few this year. I am taking it all in, from the decor to the card sending. Tightening our belts feels good to me. And it has helped for me to enjoy the true meaning of Christmas. I am sewing every day since I moved my sewing room. LOVING that! Eager to take on a new project too. Love yours!!!

I always feel a huge burden lifted once I finish the cards and gift wrapping. LOL
